Hey guys,

Does NA2 header fit direct on NA1 test pipes and exhaust? There's so much info on this I've managed to confuse myself lol. Please help!

Thanks,
Joe

The answer is no, unless you have an adapter kit like the one from SoS. NA2 headers will not reach the stock NA1 cat locations.

Just to answer your question a little differently. Yes it is a direct replacement as far as bolting up. Most of the time you have to order new 02 sensors because the old ones won't come out.

As posted above the collector length is shorter on the newer style headers so SOS does sell extensions. The job is quite tough and dirty if you do it yourself but you will notice HP gains over the old NA1 style boat anchor's you will be removing. Check the WIKI and read how to swap headers.

I went this way with my '93 and swapped out for year 2002 headers that I purchased here on prime for a few hundred bucks.

As an edit, if you ever wanted to run test pipes, this would be the time to buy those extensions.

You can also purchase any of my test pipes or cats and specify that you are using NA2 headers with NA1 exhaust, I will then build them so you can directly bolt everyting up without adapters.

Thanks for the inputs guys.

I have the stock manifolds off okay but my replacements are trash Obx which look like I need to cut the subframe to get the front manifold on with the subframe in place. I have na1 test pipes and a pride exhaust currently.

Rear Obx mounted fine which is annoying that the front doesn't fit. The pipework on the passenger side goes right through the engine mount. Lol what?! I hear these are copies of dc sports, is that normal for dc sports?

As I'm half way through the job, the old na1 manifolds I cut to remove and these new Obx won't fit I've been offered a set of na2 oem headers hence my rather frantic research...

You may also need 02 sensor extensions on the front or rear. I have an extra one that's direct plug in and it's about 12 inches. LMK if you'd like it.

Thanks for all the inputs guys.

I have gone for na2 headers, adapter pipes from dali, 02 extensions and new gaskets and hardware.

Just waiting for it to all arrive!
