DRAG is going to be releasing a liquid cooled twin turbo set up for the NSX in Jan/Feb of next year. It will give an extra 100 hp to the flywheel and 80 hp to the wheels at a mere 3-5psi of boost (good for daily driving).
The kit will cost from $8000 to $9000 (most likely).

What are your guys' thoughts on the kit? I'd like to get your impressions.

Thanks!

It depends on a few factors. What kind of turbos; what is its potential; how the kit looks on the car; what fuel system upgrade are they using (if any??); the quality of the welds on the piping and what metals they are using.

What I meant is that to me that $1,800 in price difference is not enough for me to choose the drag over the comptech. I was not taking the Basch kit into account when comparing the 2 because the Basch is definitely more reasonably price than the 2. Its in a league of its own. But when u compare these 2 not so reasonably price kits out there, I would rather fork out the extra $1,800 to get the comptech.

It completely depends on the kit. If I were going for the best price/performance solution then I would have to go with another.
However, if my goals where more potential oriented, I would want more details. If your kit had superior parts, turbo, intercooler, etc... and I was going for high horsepower (500+), then those considerations would change and the DRAG kit could be a viable option. We would need to know details and specifics on the kit, parts used and how it worked. Any kit can be worth the money... it just depends on what one is looking to do.

I do agree that for most of us, money is always a consideration. For those of us in that boat, the price would have to be competitive. That's true in any market.

For that kind of money, you can't get the Comptech supercharger. However, you can get the BaschBoost supercharger.

Yes, you can get a CT SC for $9k. Call Mark Bash and get a quote.

Heck, list price on a '91-'94 kit is $9800 and you get 10% off with the promo they are running through the end of the year and you are under $9000 right there...

You can buy a used CTSC w/9lb kit right now for $6500 installed
