dyno sheets/boost sheets

some of you have asked to see dyno/boost #'s on my setup....

here they are,

514 HP @ 7500 rpm
381 TQ @ 5700 rpm, BUT 360 @ 4000 rpm !!!:biggrin:

boost is only 11.8 pounds and i see full boost by 3800 rpm

hey, thanks for clearing that up cause i was wondering what the deal was...
considering most people reply extensively to ANY post, about anything i was concerned.
 
Consider this the first "Congrats!" msg.

Nice power/boost profile - have you had to replace your passenger door handle yet? Am working on single turbo setup, ran it a little @ 8 lbs, 400 hp flat. Forget tq. Decided to do top end and add "More boost!" Will search forum for your setup link. If not on prime, would you mind providing some general info? Either public or PM is OK.

turbo is a turbonetics 62-1 ball bearing
tial 44mm wastegate
tial 50 mm BOV
AEM
walbro 255 pump
rc 750 injectors
all custom plumbing by me (i didnt weld it though)
air to air IC in the back glass

built engine with 9to1 compression
 
ok, I'll bite

I wish the various whiners who most likely have never so much as changed their own oil would man up and say "Rich, i apologize for acting like an ahole back when you said you were buying an nsx and building a custom turbo."

that is all.

oh yeah. pretty weak pull. almost forgot.

I really love your ride, everything about it. Would you ever sell your kit or at the very least PM me to tell me where to get one fabbed like yours? ;)

Take a look at where the FI Community is today, and where it was just 2 years ago.

It is an amazing transformation. Prior, if you had a CTSC, you were king. Now with Black's and the LoveFab guys kicking ass, and with a kit like the HP doing pretty well too, the Turbo Community has really stepped up! All those naysayers about Black's turbo effort back 18 or so month ago can choke on his dyno. Well done!

Hi (Mark?),

Here's the major component list for the turbo build, done by PFI Performance in Fort Collins:

What's done:
Garrett GT35R BB turbo
Tial 44mm wastegate
Tial *mm BOV (Not sure, have to call PFI)
Factory ECU with SDS fuel controller (two addt'l injectors added to intake)
Walbro 255 in tank
Clutchmaster twin disk (Smoked stock one on 2nd pull)
Spearco polished alum air-water heat exch (frt mt radiator)
Snow Perf boost controlled water/meth inj

*This is where the car delivered 400 whp - stock motor*

What's inprocess (parts ordered, incoming)
3.3L displacement upgrade
Arias 9:1 pistons
AEBS cyl sleeves
ARP head studs
Supertech retainers
*Once complete, this is where we expect another 100whp+/-*

Couldn't find the orig dyno sheet, but will try to get another. The boost curve was very much like yours, albeit lower peak.

So you gonna be a vendor now???:smile: Do you feel a little reckless since you have a built motor? Is the kit you were selling or another?
 
no..not going to be a vendor....ill help someone outy if they need it but i dont want to go that far....I would have to charge too much:cool: :biggrin:

I've got to say that Marc's car is wicked fast! It's so much faster than any Comptech SC'ed NSXs that I've driven. It makes full boost so early and will literally throw you back as a passenger. I was lucky enough to have gotten a ride the night before the CalCoastal drive. Congrats again on a sweet setup Marc! :biggrin:
