E3 2006.... Gamez, Nerds + Babes

I'm thinking Playstation3 is loosing this battle because of high price. I also think Blueray will loose the format-battle against HD-DVD.

Always been a PS fan but now I'm buying both 360 and PS3. Wii doesn't attract me, looks like a childrens console, also tired of Mario

sony has always been a bitch when it comes to prices...

i remmeber getting my firstp laystation for 400 CDN dollars at launch.

Given the playstation one and playstation 2, it appears that the software library (no matter how mnay crappy games there are) ultimately determines a console's success. This doesn't mean playsation had crappy games, i remember very good ones.

XBOX360 has more horspower than ps3, and ps2 was underpowered compared to xbox 360 and gamecube. ps2 is a obvious winner.

Where do you guys read about E3?

Need good page for Xbox 360 games and other plans.

Buying secondhand Premium ed. 360 within few weeks (saving the real money for PS3 :D)

I'm offended...we're not nerds, we're GEEKS! Get it straight! :D

Anyway, E3 was another underwhelming affair (perhaps I'm a bit jaded). I am a bit concerned by PS3's price, a bit annoyed about how long I had to wait to play with the Wii (3 hours just to get inside the Wii-area of the Nintendo booth...and I'm still making jokes about the name), and a bit worried about Crysis' frame rate (seriously, it was running on a top-of-the-line gaming PC)...but it sure is pretty!

I definitely need to get a 1080p HDTV...

Are Xbox 360 and PS3 supporting that?

We haven't seen those 1080p TVs here yet. Should be for sale very soon now, can't wait :)

Don't worry. By the time it's released, dual 7900GTX's will be considered entry-level. :D

A 42" Panasonic Plasma with an XBox 360 running Elder Scrolls IV - Oblivion. One of these days...

...that will be the last day we see you on the forum. Oblivion is a marriage-breaker; too addictive.

I see Triumph the Insult Dog attending one of these soon....the girls stare across a room full of guys that have no idea how to please them.

Isn't a properly set up PC a better gaming box than one of these consoles?

Not yet, but give it a year! PC's will catch up and pass these consoles quickly.

My understanding last year was all the PS3 demos were running on High-end PC's with SLI Nvidia cards.

The only game I have seen the blows away the Pc version on xbox360 is Far Cry, but then again Far Cry was out years ago now.

Oh, I already put 70 hours into it. :) PC version. I'm the Arch Mage of the Mage's Guild, a Champion in the Fighter's Guild, own three homes, and finished the main plot line. I rather enjoyed the game. I'm onto Ghost Recon - Advanced Warfighter now. Holy smokes is it hard!

The funny thing is that I found this picture on the biggest newspaper's website here in Norway. And the article was 100% serious and not sarcastic. That's why I find it funny to have found a picture with three "stereotype geeks".

Edit: I tried the Oblivion game couple of weeks ago, I didn't like it at all, what's all the hype about

Well I searched nerds, geeks, you name it, I searched for it.

Here it is, not a repost (I have my "eat my words" flame suit on...).

A little dated, a little off topic, but what the heck, so is this thread.
