Last February I sold my 2001 NSX and bought a Lexus SC430 Convertible.

Since then, none of you have shown up at my house to beat the hell out of me for doing such a stupid thing.........don't you guys care anymore ???
I sure do miss you guys and I sure do miss the Acura.
 
You can always correct the mistake.... sell the Lexus, buy another NSX

Why not give us your comparison now that you have had the car for a while..
 
If that Lexus had a 6 speed transmission and could be lowered about 5 inches (it looks like a stink bug walking on hot pavement), my wife would be driving one now...., but she has better taste in cars...

Hey, don't be to hard on him. I own a Lexus (not a stick bug) & NSX. Larry, could you try to down size in another Lexus and also have a NSX for the cost of the SC ? If not, then why would you subject yourself to the abuse. "Thank you sir may I have another"

That's what happens when you send your car designers to the French Riviera to get inspiration. They get distracted and come up with an SC430.

My SC400 looks so much better, but that's my opinion.

Larry, they have a nice shiny new one at the local Acura dealer. They had a nice shiny used one in the showroom as well. If you ever have another lapse of taste so extreme, I will bring some of the boys over and we will trash that funny lookin' Lexus with the big butt! You are forgiven, but your penance is to buy another NSX.

god i hate the looks of those sc430 convertibles. yuk!.
 
so what do they talk about on the Lexus forums, prostate health? hormone replacement therapy? or erectile dysfunction?
 
Larry, the reason we haven't smacked you in the head yet is because we are busy!!! We are busy modifying, playing, performing DIY things... that it just takes up all of our time!

(I remember you stating that the Lexus guys don't do any of that...)

So Larry, Please indulge us on the downside of owning/driving this 'thing' of yours...It can't be all that bad, can it? Afterall it's got a 300HP V-8 under the hood-correct me if I'm off on this one-(and weighs at least 1000 lbs. more than our ride)!

I recall someone saying the SC430 looked like a pregnant pig, and that's how I've thought of it since then. However, it does look real nice(if lowered) when the top is down

dag, why yall gota beat down on lexus owners like dat?

I own a '97 SC300 5spd. My next car will be a '97+ NSX. They are completely diff cars. I can't imagine a better luxury coupe for cruising than the SC nor a better all around sports car than the NSX for the $ and reliablity.
I love rare cars, and my SC was only among 200 produced since it has the 5spd manual transmission AND the latest design upgrades ('97 was last year with a stick and first year of the last redesign).

This is my first post but I'll around often from now on as I get closer to my NSX purchase (p.s. it's gota be SPA YELLOW

Welcome aboard! Hope everything works out in your search for an NSX.

As for beating down on Lexus owners, I'd say things are pretty light hearted here. I have a 92 SC400, and I sometimes lurk over at ClubLexus.com. If anything, some of those SC300TT owners are pretty, hmmm,.....boisterous. It's all in good fun anyways.

But I still don't dig the looks of the SC430. The previous generation looked so much better, so much cleaner, and so much more unique.
