Enkei RPF1 correct offsets for 17's?

My car is up on jacks and waiting for new wheels and tires. I have lowered the car with Tien RE coilovers about 1.25 inches. I am trying to buy the lightest set of 17’s front and rear that I can get. I am trying to get the offsets correct so that the tires and wheels fill the wheel well. The wheels I will be selling are the seven spike stock nsx wheels. After lowering, they were tucked in quite a bit. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

I think that the Enkei RPF1 in 17 front and 17 rear is just about the lightest that I can get, but I want to make sure I get the the correct offset to get the wheels out further than stock without rubbing and with my car lowered about 1.25 inches.

I think the correct sizes for the car are:
Enkei RPF1 17x8.5 / 5x114.3 / +40 (silver)
Enkei RPF1 17x7.5 / 5x114.3 / +48 (silver)

Is this correct?

Thanks!

I don't suggest going 17/17, it will not look good. If this will be a track dedicated setup and you don't care about the looks then go with 17x7.5 or 17x8 with offest +40 to +45 in front and 17x9.5 +40 rear.

Thanks for the comment.
I looked at some more pics, and you are correct. That changes my question to the correct offset for a 16x7 for the front to bring the wheels out when lowered a bit. With the stock 7 spokes, it looks like they are tucked in 10-15 mm.
I know the bigger sizes are more popular, but I am going for the performance first and not looks. I picked these wheels because of the weight. I am now at 2705lbs with A/c and almost full interior.

1) How did you get weight down that low?
2) My track RPF1's are Front 17” X 8” + 45 offset , Rear 17” X 9.5” + 38 offset and fit perfect. Tires are a lot cheaper than 18's as well.

I just got a set of silver Enkei RPF-1 for my '92 NSX. Rear 18" x 10" +38 with Nitto NT-01 275/35/18 track tires. Front 17" x 8" +45 with 235/40/17. Fits fine. I have some aftermarket springs and dampers that lower the car somewhat. Not sure how much since I bought it that way. There might be the slightest rub on heavy compression, but nothing to worry about. I am very happy with this set-up.

I need to buy another set of RPF1's so I can always have fresh rubber mounted.
Richard - Where did you buy yours? Did you find any good deals out there?

I called Enkei USA and talked to them. They don't sell wheels to the public, you have to go to one of their dealers. They said the usual tire shop that I always go to for track tires could contact their L.A. distributor. So I got the Enkei wheels and Nitto tires from the place I always go to. It's a about 5 miles south of downtown L.A.

Free mounting and balancing and reasonable prices for now.

I had 17/17 enkeis for my track wheels and it looked just fine. yea, 17/18 probably looks better but us track junkies probably go through 2-3 sets of r comps a summer and 17 rears are cheaper.

i actually think it looks better (17/17) with rpf1's, enkei has a convex spoke for sizes under 9" wide... and concave for 9"+. this in effect makes the front wheels on the NSX looks smaller... so by going with a smaller diameter it looks WAY smaller.

RJJ what tire sizes are using with those wheels?

I just purchased and installed 17/18 on my X with +45 offsets front and rear with no issues. Bolt and roll.

Currently f 215/40/17 falken 452 r is 275/40/17 Bridgestone RE760 sport

i also have NT01 235/275 that i haven't tried since there isn't any tracks here

I will probaly switch next year to a 215/255 or 215/265 extreme performance tire like the Dunlop star spec and add the NSX-R front sway bar
