Im looking to buy a set of seats for my NSX and i came across this company while i was looking for different brands of seats. Does any of you guys have purchased from this vendor before?? how do you like their seats ?? any pros/cons?? i would really appreciate any info/help you guys can give me. Nico
ming is a great guy to deal with. very prompt, great communication. fixed any issue(s). I bought a pair from him. i like them. i got the cf/ck version/type 3 seat. which are the type r replica.. on thing i would like better would be more padding. needs not padding.. long trip really sux, made me wish i had stock seats on while driving long distance. 11hrs travel. bottom pad are fairly thin. i doubled mine up for more comfort.. since i was driving alone, i end up using the passenger side's bottom padding and stack it on my side.. helped lot.
other then that, they are good seats. comfortable, sux getting in and out though. lol
I have a same pair, I like it a lot. Just make sure u r taller than 5'8" or u have to mod the buddy club seat rails to be able to reach clutch pedal lol
Thanks for your post guys, I'm 5'11 so I think I should be fine but aren't you able to slide your seats forward?? Or is there any other reason to mod the buddy clubs?? Is it necessary to get a harness with the seats or can still use my oem seatbelts?? My car is not mainly for track use so I'm looking at the C.F./kv R1 seats, does anyone have/had these seats ?? Again thanks for the input, Nico.
Here's my 2 cents. I have the spec 4 fiberglass seats with Buddyclub rails. I am 5'11" and I have my seats on the full forward position, if not 1 click from full forward. The BuddyClub rails suck as it is really hard to slide back and forth. The 2 piece design has too much flex/adjustment and does not fit the NSX perfectly. I would recommend a 1 piece design from SOS or Taitec.
The seats themselves are decent. Getting in and out is a challenge as I have to lift my ass up from the seat by pushing on the center console box and the door sill.
^^ the buddy rails are decent. If u r having trouble sliding forward n back, u might need it realign.
What i did during install is that i loosely tighten the bolts holding the rail down. Sit in the seat, slide it forward and back couple times, it wil align itself if u sit straight while sliding. Then i slowly tighten each bolt down a little more, repeat, then tighten. So on and so on. Now it slide good.
My opinion will differ compared to the above. The seats are way to snug (not wide enough). Lower bolster will provide a credit card ATM swipe in your buttocks if your not careful. Seats were mounted on BRIDE rails and sliders. Height is good, fitment is crap, overall look seems universal.
I've had a few different pairs of seats for comparison:
Recaro
Corbeau
Sparco
Status
Bride

Well I'm looking for comfortable seats with a little bit more sporty look than the Oem seats. I really don't know that much about brands at all but I did my research about the buddy club rails and the comments weren't that good. I know only one guy that had the F1specs R1 seats but he wasn't part of prime and its very hard for me to reach him. The seats I'm looking for are those on the pictures and they recline too which I don't think if is good or bad. I appreciate the input .
I used to own a set of them. They're okay until i got a set of recaro spg and bride zeta iii. They're quite a lot more comfortable. I used to do long 2-3 hour drives and the zeta iii imo is the most comfortable for me.
I sat on all of them and it definitely needs padding so I passed on it. The one thing that I noticed right away is the shoulder area, I can feel the skeleton of the seat.
I have the Downforce seats and no complaints on fitment or quality, i just did a trip down country and back 4 hours each way and every bit as confortable as OEM but just hugs you more.
