Congratulations FX and Billy on another strong showing of NSX prowess. I just picked up the Modified issue today and read every page. There were some hardcore machines you guys went up against. Congrats again, now go out and kick some more ass with your unlimited NSX!

Best Regards,

Danny

Congratulations, you guys make some awsome machines...

Can we get a more detailed mod list? That thing is movin!

Bill of Materials:
(1) NSX
(1) Crazy Pineapple
(1) Strip Club Sponsorship
(42) Replacement Front Lips

Shake well and serve over ice. Enjoy!

Thanks guys, we are always trying our very best to show that the platform maybe old but it is still one of the very best! Hopefully we will see more NSXs in competition out there as there are many people here with things to say but not things to do:wink:

B,

You forgot to add the pixie dust and unicorn horn:smile:

The full list of mods can be seen at the link provided under the Dsport issue. We may be selling it soon so a full disclosure list will be posted along with the sale.

Thanks again!

On another thread someone asked about the fabrication quality of the system so here is a pic.

Yummy.........Rain car..........

Paul

Paul you get first dibs! Billy did manage to run 10 SECONDS faster than the others in his run group in the rain at California Speeway:biggrin:

Thanks for posting up the pic. However, and not to be a bitch, but all it shows is someone can weld. There are a fairly large group of people getting serious about buying a turbo system. I'm included in that group. Frankly I'm ready to go but the right combination of variables has not come together. Since basically nobody is going to guarantee my stock bottom end ('03 w/ 20k miles) from imploding I'm having to gather as much info as I can. This includes pictures, designs, fab skills, tuning info and something close to specific design specs complete with supporting data. I think if somone comes out and says/shows "Here is how we do it, here is why we do it, here are our fab skills, here are our tuning skills, and here are our performance stats/data (Both track and dyno). You guys of course have the performance thing pretty dialed. After all that, said company should assert themselves with said support as THE ones with THE system. The market will pay some sort of premium for all that. This might not to too interesting to you and your niche but this approach would definitely get more NSXs into the FI realm.

Thanks

Very very good point! The primary reason why I posted that pic is, our quality of fabrication was questioned. In regards to posting an in depth description, we have one in the works with a magazine and cannot really do too much on the public forums till the article is a go or no go. If that does not come to fruition we will be posting a step by step guide on how to build your own 500hp turbo NSX, component selection, piping, EMS, and of course engine modifications needed. This will be from our perspective and the experiences we have had on and off the track. In the meanwhile you are more than welcome to call Mike at 702-208-6790 for more details.

Here's what you should do:

and here are our performance stats/data (Both track and dyno).
Awesome! Someone said track! -Who else is competing w/their turbo systems?
after all that, said company should assert themselves with said support as THE ones with THE system.
Isn't that what winning races is for? (let alone, truly daily driving them)

Just curious what will be the price?! Btw have you done 11.4 with drag or road tires?

HAHAHA, why not your NSX as a 'rain car'? I hear you are getting an awesome 'dry' car soon

At my age and driving prowess, I best keep the Blue Devil a daily driver. The new toy should arrive in a few weeks but it should remain as such, a "Toy". But I bet you can pilot a Yugo around a track faster than I can in any of my cars..........

Paul you get first dibs! Billy did manage to run 10 SECONDS faster than the others in his run group in the rain at California Speeway:biggrin:

Don't tempt me Ken. But change my name to Billy and coach me to manage within 20 seconds of his time in the rain. Only then will I be worthy. In the mean time, I and most people here on Prime will continue to dream on.

Best Regards
Paul

Jimsx,

Sounds like you've found your right NSX. Contratulations.

Having been through the exact thought process myself two summers ago, I understand where you're coming from. But while you are doing your research, ask yourself this question. What are you trying to achieve? And am I being realistic?

You're correct. Nobody will guarantee that your stock bottom end won't implode. There are simply too many variables. How well did you or previous owner maintain your 20k mile motor? Was it broken-in and maintained properly? Was it ever abused? How much power are you asking from the stock bottom end? Etc. Other than the last, the tuner has absolutely no control. Provided if all was well, you may safely ask for an additional 100hp. This should well be within limits of the stock bottom end. However once you exceed that, you're better off with a build motor or you are asking for trouble.

Nobody knows if you will be satisfy with what Factor X has to offer. But believe me when I say they are not exactly sitting around waiting for business. There are so many people dropping off their cars at their shop that sometimes I think they are biting off more than they can chew. Although they offer FX400 and FX500 generally as a system, each system is specially tailored to each individual's need. I'm sure you know they build quite a few FX cars (customer's cars) to various levels of success, and at the risk of speaking for those before me, we are generally very satisfy with our cars. Now if you are genuinely serious about a turbo system for your NSX, I urge you to do some serious research and VISIT a few NSX builders, Factor X inclusive, to see for yourself which system is best for you and what’s all that fuzz is about. And if you happens to visit Factor X in Vegas for this reason, do drop me line and I can show you what a true “daily driven” FX500 car feels like. And if you should get lucky, you may catch a school of Vegas NSX'ers with a handful of Factor X cars.

Best Regards
Paul

Thanks Espirit. I went back and pulled up your and Vega$s threads. Both have certainly peaked my interest. I didn't realize FX was so active w/ FI in the 'non-racing' community. I'll be giving them a call.
