Constructive Criticisim appreciated. Hope you like the pics. This is my first automotive attempt (where they are moving).
Up close pics were taken with a Tokina 12-24
All track pics taken with a 70-200 F4L w/ EF 1.4x II converter

These are what I considered to be my best. I am new at this so any help you can provide would be great.

Jeff,

For your first attempt, I think the pics came out great... My favorite(s) is 5a, 5b and especially 5c.

Do you have pics that can be printed in poster size like 36x22?

Thanks,

Mike

Some GREAT shots - Canon I'm assuming, since you're using the 70-200 F4 L. Great piece of glass - arguably Canon's best zoom. (I'm partial to the 24-70 F2.8L for closer work). What body?

I've been out of still photography for a while, but I'm shooting my roommate's wedding in July - renting a 1DS Mk2, a 1D Mk2, and a Hasselblad H1. 24-70mm 2.8L, 70-200mm 2.8L IS, the 15mm fisheye, and 50mm and 80mm lenses for the H1. I'm pumped. :)

I actually lied, picture #4 was taken with a 28-70 F2.8L (the predicessor to the 24-70L you have).

Yep, used the Canon 70-200F4L for the rest. Body was a Rebel XT.

Forgot to mention that all of the track shots were taken with a Circ Polarizer to get more detail out of the track surface as well as slow the shutter while still keeping it at the ultra smooth ISO100. Wish I could afford the 70-200 2.8 (the IS or non-IS) but the money is just too much.

Thanks for the remarks.

I wish I could take pics like that. Are you guys using digital cameras?
Yep Digital SLR. I shoot Canons.... but you can get equally good results with a Nikon:cool:

very nice decision to desat everything except the car on this one.
