After two years of weak attempts to fix my slow drivers side window, I finally decided to do it right and take the whole door apart. Squirting silicone down the tracks is useless. It now works great.
Once you know what you're doing, this isn't that hard of a job. I found that the rear sash doesn't have to be removed. Its hard to figure out what parts of the door need to be taken apart just by looking at the service manual.
I did the following:
1. Remove door panel
2. Remove speaker and window controller
3. Remove plastic moisture barrier
4. Remove front sash cover and outer molding
5. Loosen front and rear sash
6. Loosen lock assembly by removing three bolts from the side of the door
7. Remove window stops
8. Remove inner molding
9. Remove window
10. Remove window tracks. The rear track can be removed by simply holding the rear sash out of the way
11. Clean and lube tracks. They were really gunked up.
12. Reinstall
Its not that bad of a job. Just make sure you mark all the bolts you remove and put them back together in the same positions. I had to do some window adjustments afterwards which can be a pain.
