I have a question...Does the kit retain the stock headlight housing? It sort of looks like the stock headlights but with a more flashy cover.

I guess I don't get it.

Even if there's a clear cover over the headlights, it would seem that the added bumps would cause more drag.

It seems like any weight reduction would be offset by the decreased Cd.

And if you were looking for a racing solution you could use the stock headlights, but remove the motors and bracketry.

Is this for pure styling?

Yes there is a clear cover over the Headlight.

That's cool. Sometimes, it's hard to tell what mods are for show or go or a bit of both.

I know that some of the guys who are really into racing are so concerned about every last ounce, so I wasn't making a critique, I was just trying to understand.
