Finders Fee - Feedback wanted

Has anyone any had any experiences with finders fees? I was considering offering a small chunk for locating a 93 Silver that leads to a sale. Good / Bad idea? Reasonable amount would be?

I did that when I lived in the UK. I don't remember how much it was. There are not too many NSXs in the UK so that why I used one. In the US I think I would just do it on my own. For my current NSX I had a dealer fine it for me.
