Okay, I guess when it rains it pours. Found out my LED on my spoiler was out then I just found out my cigarette lighter doesn't work. I wouldn't be to worried as I don't smoke, but I know the folding spare tire has to be inflated by the electric pump which needs to be powered by the cigarette lighter. So for that reason I need to get this thing fixed.

Any ideas of what to look for myself before bringing it into the dealer or shop?

Fuse # 8, (under-dash fuse panel) Fuse # 15 (engine fuse box) and the relay (behind the glove box) would be the components to check.
Lighter power only in ACC position or IGN position

Have you ever tried a test run using the pump to inflate the tire? After you do let us know how long you intend to keep the spare and pump in the car. It's much cheaper and easier to have a AAA+ membership. :biggrin:

which relay?

I have a non-functioning cigarette lighter & ashtray-light; this occurred when I was using to OEM trunk air-compressor to add some air to one of my tires. Compressor worked for a few minutes, then kaput.

I checked the two fuses mentioned by D'Ecosse/Ken and they are fine. The relay that is mentioned, is this located under the hood, the fuse-box there? Which of the relays would this one be? :confused:

* Fuse #8, under-dash fuse panel = radio
* Fuse #15, engine fuse box = cig. lighter

Thanks.
