I took my NSX to the Northwoods Shelby track event today at Road America. They are a great group and hold great events.

Some poor guy in a Ford GT went off at turn 12 (Canada Corner) and hit the tire wall head on. He was ok but the front end of the car was badly damaged. The crash tore off the right front wheel and both airbags went off. He had a passenger who was carried away on a stretcher but last I heard the injury was limited to a fractured wrist.

Ouch. Well, at least they were OK.

Any pics...:frown:Glad everyone was ok.

Ahh Canada corner:eek:Who remembers xpo:wink:I was dragged outa canada, morning session, cold damp:redface: .What was funnier was seeing MJ get dragged back into the pits and watching him suck and blow about 20 lbs of pebbles out of every oriface of his candy cane:biggrin:

Just don't let Dan ride in your car. He's the jinx

My 4 yr old said "Dad there is to many Mustangs". Gotta love the honesty.

Looked good out there Steve.

Found this on the SVT website.

Wow, that's really nicely done. Are you on R compound tires? What mods do you have?

I'm using the Nitto NT01's this year and really like them similar to the Toyo RA1's. Up front I have 235-40-17's and in the back 275-35-18's along with the front Stoptech BBK and use the Hawk HT 10's for the track. Motor mods are basically the SOS stage 3 stuff along with the heads ported and polished.

The 600RWHP stage 3??

How could that Z06 have pulled on you on the straight like that if you've got 600RWHP? I imagine you must have also made some significant upgrades to the driveline to handle that kind of HP. What suspension setup do you have?

Anyway, looking very very smooth out there and driving a beautiful line. How quick are you getting around Road America?

Wrong stage 3. He is talking about the SOS Naturally Aspirated engine program. He is around 285-290 rwhp.

I'm by all means not a superfast driver...I guess high 2.40's with a passenger and mid 2.40's solo. Now here is a fast driver Kip from California in his SC NSX when it only had 435rwhp at Road America. Had a couple rides with him and it was just amazing fastest car all weekend. He runs 2.26 with a passenger and clicked a 2.24 solo
