Friends List

I know it would be a pain to put in Instant Messaging and all that... but do you think we could have a section that shows us who from our friends list is online so we could at least PM them? Maybe this already exists somewhere and I'm unaware, if so I apologize for asking. I know that we can have friends lists.... but I don't know what you can use it for if you can't see when those people are online.

If you "show all friends" it does indicate who is online (unless they have set their account to not show when they are online).

I think the "friends" system is one of the early stages of vbulletin trying to transform from just message forum software into "online community" software by adding some features of social networking sites. Right now it doesn't "do" very much other than make it easier to access your friends profiles, but I suspect they will build more onto it in the future.
