Good morning....First timer on Prime...91 NSX. knocking in front end, can not get accurate wheel alignment, was told might need new 'rack-n-pinion', any suggestions? parts? any reliable mech. in NYC/Long Island area?

The rack and pinion can cause a knocking noise when the internal bushing wears out, but it really shouldn't affect the suspension alignment. Did the shop say what could not be aligned? Camber? Caster? Toe?
Nobody in LI. Take the Port Jeff ferry and bring it to Mitch at Mechanics Direct in Lowell, MA.
