FS: Keyless Entry System (New)

You're a true legend for offering owners w/o the factory keyless entry a great viable alternative.
And a great alternative even if someone has the factory keyless, since this opens the trunk, flashes the lights for confirmation, and , most importantly, has a separate lock and unlock button so you know what you're doing. That OEM remote with one button that both locks and unlocks is the dumbest design Honda has ever done - and they didn't fix it in 15 years?!? What's weird is the lack of trunk release. Why add the weight, wiring, & complexity of an electric trunk release except to make it activatable by the remote? Although the cupholders are a close second.

Can you tell me more about this system, can the system pop the trunk when it is in the Armed state? Or is there a safety feature that will only allow trunk pop in the Unarmed state?

Also, what does the 3rd button (with the X symbol) on the remote transmitter do?

Yes, but it will trigger the alarm. To pop the trunk without triggering the alarm, you can press and hold the unlock button for 3 seconds. It will both disarm and pop the trunk. The X button is not used.

How is the remote transmitter programmed to the main unit? Can we program the remote ourselves? Is each remote individually programmed?
Yes, the remotes come paired with the brain. You can sync up to 4 remotes to the same brain. Remotes can be easily sync'd by the owner.
