Selling my '69 Chevelle that I bought 3 years ago and did a very nice restoration on (costing over $15,000).
I am the 3rd owner of the car, and it was sold new here in Nashville, Tennessee. The first owner bought the car in '69 and drove it until his death, at which point his wife sold the car to the 2nd owner. He drove the car for about a year, then proceeded to store and not drive the car for 20 years. I bought the car with 24,399 original miles on it, and it now has 28,900 miles. I have a complete title history back to new, along with copies of the original Bill of Sale and MSO.
The car has its original matching # engine, transmission, and rear end. It also has never been in an accident, nor ever had any rust. It has perfect original floor and trunk pans, as well as quarters.
The car has been repainted LeMans Blue, the bumpers have been redone, the interior has been completely redone (new carpet, headliner, door panels, seat covers and foam, sunvisors, sunvisor supports, rearview mirror, etc), all emblems replaced, the suspension upgraded to Hotchkis, a complete front power disc brake conversion done, an SS hood added, a set of 17" Billet Specialties Vintec wheels added, along with a wireless remote control hidden in the glovebox Alpine head unit with JL Audio amp and upgraded speakers. The engine was in great shape, needing only new valve seals, tuning up with new points, plugs, plug wires, etc, and rebuilding of the carb. It runs like new.
Many of the things I've done didn't really need doing, but I'm VERY anal about all my cars and want to make the car look and drive great. In fact, I put my 33k mile '91 NSX on jackstands twice a year to detail the chassis.
I am asking $21,500.
