I can't wait till August!! The pile of parts keeps growing (more arriving weekly). It outgrew the corner of the garage today thanks to the NSX-R wheels, so I've now taken over an empty spare bedroom.

Nice! You should put a mattress in the middle, and have a good nights sleep in the spare bedroom! Be sure to post some pics when you are finished the beast!

so you're doing the NSXR conversion?! oh my goodness

*pulls up a chair and popcorn and waits til august*

Wow i can't wait to see how thats gonna turn out!

make's me want to do some bodywork to mine...

Good Luck and I hope things turned out OK with the whole dealership debacle

i am also looking forward to seeing how this turns out, should look amazing.
curious which hood did you go with?

don't forget the air diffuser underneath the rear valence!!
just checking ;)

What suspension and brake system you are going to put on your car?? You decided you are getting a blue one again? I thought you were going for the yellow one?? If they haven't paint it yet, you might want to special order the top as Black, just like the R.

For the rear diffuser, we've got to wait to check fitment with the exhaust before ordering - I have a feeling we may be dumping the Comptech exhaust in favor of the Taitec GT lightweight setup.

We're getting a Grand Prix White '05 - closest I could come to Championship White. For suspension, we're using strictly OEM NSX-R pieces (you can see a couple of pieces in the picture). For brakes, we're using a set of lighter weight slotted rotors and a set of EBC RedStuff pads (I've had good luck with the EBC products). To be as accurate as possible, the gold rotors are being repainted satin black. We're even replacing the carpet with New Pure Red to emulate the NSX-R look, but the toughest part is going to be finding the seats.

The undercoating is coming off and we're putting the car on a weight-loss regimen (NSX-R engine cover, lightweight battery, no spare, etc).

I don't think we can get the top black (but I'll ask anyway), but regardless the car will still be going under the knife when it arrives. The new Procar hood (the one in the pic is the Taitec one I'm selling) needs to be painted GPW, the hood/wing/mirrors need to be done in black and the US side marker lamps need to be removed. It was a tough decision to make (doing paintwork on the car), but our thought was that it's not any sort of collision repair and it will be done properly.

All the other performance mods are migrating to the new car from the '04 (i/h/e/sc).

Spoiled rotten!!

They are used (300 miles? only one small external scuff, everything else wipes off). Any appearance of being bent would be the photo - they're actually in excellent shape.

Awesome project!
The seats.. occasionaly they pop up in japan 2nd hand but expect US$4000+ for a pair with the electric rails for NSXR seats from the NA1 which is identical but are over 10 years old. Or you can find a NA2 type S or S Zero seat and retrim.

Where did you find those wheels??

Mark @ Dali Racing - took about 3-4 weeks to get the wheels and the NSX-R engine cover.

The wheels came from Dali.....he bought them from Procar Specials 2 years ago. We got them from Honda R&D directly, 5 sets at last

BTW....looks like an amazing part start to me.
There is a lot of money laying around

We are proud that you go for the Procar spoiler and the new Procar cf hood with screen.

Ryan...you got pm.

The room continues to fill:

OEM red carpet, NSX-R Suspension, steering hub, Valentine-1 radar detector, black OEM lugnuts, NSX-R style slotted rotors...

BTW - that Taitec hood is for sale. CF version, painted, adapted to fit NA2 lights. Runs over $2300 new + labor to adapt it - $1000 firm.

Ryan,

Im starting to get a little jealous!

By the way, I see you in Delaware. Maybe a little meeting as I drove home from my CT S/C installation in Maryland. By the way, im planning another NSX meet call "NSXSTOCK" complete with Tie dyed T-shirts some time in Aug/Sept... Hope youll be there

I'm game - I hope the new one hits early in August, as it'll be 2 weeks in the paint shop and and a week getting the supercharger on. The rest of the work I'll do myself. Should be a blast... now if I could only find the damn seats!

You're having your car done at Tischer? Great bunch of people there - I used to run into them all the time two heavily modded cars ago. Bumped into Larry last year at the OC Show (we cosponsered) :) If my SC install wasn't a freebie this time around, I'd seriously consider taking it there.
