In the past two month I've had two seperate negotiations with two seperate members of this forum regarding the purchase of oem speakers. (These two members know who they are) I submitted a request in the "parts wanted" section for a set of speakers. After a couple of days one of the members responded to my request indicating that the speakers had been sitting in his garage and just wanted to get rid of them and free up some space. After a couple of PM/e-mails we mutually agreed on a fair price for the set of door speakers. The last PM I received over a month ago indicating he was shipping the speakers the following day. I spent the following two weeks trying to contact the seller to see what happened and to this day I have not heard from him since. So thinking that this deal was gone I responded to a recent entry from a member wishing to sell his oem speakers. Again we agreed to a price for the two door speakers. As I was waiting for instructions for shipping and payment he sends me a PM saying that he has suddenly changed his mind and decided to keep his speakers. In the process I missed out on another opportunity but turned it down because of my understanding of a completed transaction. I suspect a better offer came along.
Please if you are negotiating with another member and you reach an agreed upon price then stick to it and don't renege only because somebody follows with a better offer. Secondly, if you're not serious about selling an item then don't list it because you're just wasting everybody's time.[/B]
Let's exercise some good business practices.
