Lud,

After now spending some significant time on the new site, I am incredibly impressed with it. I find one pleasant surprise after another.

- The ability to mark a thread you reply to, for email notification of future responses.

- The way you only get one notification about a thread until you go back there.

- The way you can post images onto the site directly to support your text.

- The new main control panel.

- The way signatures are a separate item, so if you update your signature, it updates the previous ones too.

- The way the "updated" messages only appear if editing occurred much later, not when just catching a typo or something right way.

And it is all so fast. Even searches execute very quickly.

It is all simply wonderful, and this praise is coming from a professional user interface designer. Great job.

How you can afford to run this site without charge, now even with the disk space requirements of allowing people to add pictures, is unknown to me, but we really appreciate it.

Can we have a national Lud day? :)

Na, I think you should trash it and start over. I never learn anything worth while around here. Comon, get with the program. We want more free stuff, more giveaways from advertisers, more free information from experts, and so on. I want a professional tech expert forum where guys like MB, Barnman, etc. answer our stupid questions in return for promissed better health. Heheh

This place is a wealth of information! I am so glad I found it, except it helped lighten my wallet because I had to buy an X.

I know that many of the members in the past have made a nominal contribution towards things like members cars getting vandelized, which is commendable. But, how many have made a small contrubution toward the good of the site? Seems to me to be a worthy cause. I don't think Lud can be fairly compensated eveen if everyone donates. He does a ton of work, for what must be a paltry sum from advertisers. If you feel it in your sole, now or in the future:

No, Lud did not entice me to do this. :D Simply ,in my case I can't contribute in knowledge near to the extent that others can/do. Thus I feel it a worthy cause.

Cool. I just contributed.

the update is definitely better.

the best proof of that is since the upgrade this NSX Prime Discussion forum has been more quiet... no more "i want to do this but i cant" posts.
