GT-R R35 Top Gear 7/20/08

After this video by top gear, I don't think Honda will even come close. Although it looks like a boat, and as big as one, this car seems so engineered its not even funny.

I have to admit, this video made me do something I have never done while watching one of their videos, get utterly in shock. That part of the video when the GTR is driven by the stig, and he blows by the stack of tires then they make the comment about it sounding like a fighter....... Yeah, that was pretty INTENSE.

i dont see why the heck they dont play these on bbc or sell the rights to speed for north america! should be watching that on the lcd tv not this computer screen!

That lap time is BLAZING fast. Wow. Clarkson in the first show though says he doesn't really like the car very much.

That was exactly my reaction too.

Funny thing is that this week's episode is the first time I personally felt any real excitement over footage of the GT-R. Up until now, it has always seemed kinda meh. And I still don't like the way it looks.

Still can't believe which cars the GT-R now ranks amongst on the Top Gear Test Track.

Don't hold your breath on that one...

The LF-A appears to have a chance to beat it but the V-Spec GT-R should be quite a bit faster than that.

By the time Toyota and Nissan fight it out the bar will be set extremely high and for under $100K I'm not sure how Honda's going to beat that.
