guy that owns two Enzo's

Two Enzos!?

My head spun reading this. But, knowing that he also owns Lambos, Panoz, and more?!?!?

Now I feel Dizzy. I need to sit down. Wait, I am sitting down. Hmm, I think I will go for a drive in the NSX.

The cure all for any ailment (including unsavvy envy)

As I read this:

Benny Caiola Jr. is no fool. Saying that, would you lend your Ferrari Enzo to a stranger? Before you answer, consider this: the New York property developer owns two of them. And an F40, F40LM, F50, 333SP, 512BB, 575M, 456, 355, Dino, four 360s, a Lamborghini Diablo and Murcielago, Pagani Zonda, Porsche GT2 and Aston Martin Vanquish.

...two words came to mind: Holy Shit.

Don't know Benny personally, though we raced at a Ferrari track event one year. As I recall, Benny brought many cars to Watkins Glen. First, he did a few SLOW laps in his LM F40, and then "got into it." Came around the front straight after obviously having hit something in the infield. Suddenly, his rear drivers wheel goes ballistic off the back of the car. Benny can't hold it any longer, and destroys the carbon underbelly by driving the LM off the track.

Proceeds to fire up his 333SP (made the sweetest barking sounds this side of an F1 car). Jumps into it, cold tires (yup, you guessed it!), and never makes it around the back section. First lap! I see another wrecker going after Benny and his Ferrari. I smile over at his mechanics, and they are shaking their heads and I see the whites of their eyes, like "this shit happens all the time."

Tongue-in-cheek, this might explain why Benny needs so many cars?!

Holy smoke!

Does anybody know how to find out more information about Benny Caiola or guide me to a website about him? I'd like to read up on his life. I tried using search engines, but it seems there's really nothing out there about this guy.

I doubt that you'll find anywhere that you can "read up on his life" but his company website is http://www.bettinaequities.com/
Benny "Payola" has been around the FCA circuit a long time - I met him maybe 13-14 years ago when I was in that biz.

PS: no questions or comments about the "payola" nickname - I make no claims to know the origin etc.

Benny has been a fixture at NE track events for years. He is very realistic about owning so many $ cars.I had the wonderful experience of listening to his f50 at the bridge. He is pretty aproachable as well.and yes he has twisted up a f40 lm at the glen.

More on Benny's collection here - http://www.robbreportcollection.com/Articles/Autos-Other-Vehicles/Sports-Cars/Feature-Enzo-Mania.asp

as of an earlier writing (2004) - it includes two Enzos (one red, one yellow), an F40, F40LM, F50, 333SP, 512BB, 575M, 456, 355, a Dino, four 360s, a Lamborghini Diablo and a Murciélago, two AMG Mercedes, a Pagani Zonda F, a Porsche GT2, and an Aston Martin Vanquish,

He's since added a Carrera GT, FXX and others.

More on him here --> http://www.northstreetwp.com/bios.htm

Swearing-off Italian cars is easier than giving up Italian women;-)

Four 360's?? WTF?

This reminds me of this guy....he buys a Maserati MC-12, takes it to the track and laughs as he wrecks it. Oh, to be filthy rich!

So from his short bio his company owns 1.8 million sq/ft of mixed commercial/residential space. In the tristate area I would put a loose average on the commercial and residential mixed at 60-100 $/square ft ,so gross earnings per year ~ 120-180 million, not bad.
