91-05 Acura NSX AEM High Flow In-Tank Fuel Pump 320 lph 04 03 02 by AEM http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00AYIGT08/ref=cm_sw_r_udp_awd_lujdtb03AMR89

There's a link, it seems to have a good output, I realize the power lines will have to be upgraded. I am debating on just trying the CT pump booster setup that comes with the ctsc kit first. But this looked like a nice second option. Any info is appreciated.

Yes, I have installed their normal one as well as the E85 compatible one in a few customer cars. What do you want to know?

Is it noisy like the warlboro, did it perform well? Would you use one on your car if it met your fuel needs? I'm installing a low boost CTSC. I am debating on going with this pump either now or pick it up for the future. Since a few people say the factory pump won't last in the ct setup...
I've had great luck with other aem products so I felt it would be a good pump.
It sucks to find out the pump is possibly going to fail, you'd think they'd send a new upgraded pump if it was common.

Oh and I've always liked your CRX you've brought to the Occarshow. I help run it and head judge. I think you know a judge we had a few years back. Unless I'm mistaking the screen name. I just thought the white CRX was from DMS.

This pump does not work on the NSX fuel pump carrier, which requires the inlet to be rotated 180 degrees. Currently, only Walbro and Aeromotive offer these. We are urging AEM to offer the reverse rotation pump for the NSX.

Thanks for the info! I wonder why they list it as working with the NSX. But if you say it won't work then I'm not going to risk it then. I was looking for a option in between the walbro and aeromotive pump. Or atleast comparable to the walbro but possibly quieter.

In your opinion for my CTSC low boost kit I've ordered will I really need to upgrade the fuel pump?

Thanks

I would consider installing this kit. These pumps are barely audible. They are our most popular seller.

Should I upgrade the wiring with this pump? I noticed you offer a wiring harness. But the directions for the CT Supercharger list a harness that hooks to the same open spot. So I'm thinking they are already upgrading the wire I just need to do the pump.

I guess the Walbro that everyone complains about is a different pump?

Thank you for your help.

No, you do not need to upgrade the wiring with the pump we recommended.

Probably a misprint on Amazon, as the application guide online does not list that pump for the NSX:

Thank you for all the info!! I'm sold on the pump, now I just have to ask the shop doing my CTSC install how much they want to install it vs me doing it before I take it there. I haven't checked the service manual yet but I'm wondering if the tank has to be dropped and I only have jack stands.
Everything I've got from SOS has been top notch so far! I've got your LMA's, the air scoop, steering bushings, and a few other things they all were perfect.
Is there a link to the install directions online? Am I going to need a new seal for the tank or is that part of the kit?

Thank you

hi Brian --

Thank you.

Yes, the tank will need to be dropped. The car needs to be raised off the ground at least 4 ft. I'd recommend having this done on a lift. The instructions we provide have detailed instructions for installation.

I have dropped the NSX fuel tank at least 5-6 times on three different cars using only jack stands. 4 ft. off the ground would be nice to have the extra room but it's not absolutely necessary. My jack stands at their highest setting probably raise the car so that there is 18-24" of clear space under the tank area. The tank itself is about 15" tall. Easiest to do it when it is near empty so you don't have to remove the drain plug and it's easier to maneuver back into place. You won't need a new seal unless you remove the drain plug then you might want to put in a new crush washer for that.

I have put the Walbro 255s in all three of those NSXs and they are NOT that noisy. A little louder than stock but you really only hear it when it primes before starting the engine. Unless you have a stock muffler, you won't really hear it once the car is running.

Using the AEM or Aeromotive stealth is really easy to retrofit to the NSX. If you are that concerned about rotating the fuel outlet on the pump there is an install kit that allows 180 degree rotation of the sock. I have installed these into NSXs without any issues and the output is much higher than the 255. The AEM and Aeromotive pumps are much quieter than that of the Walbro as well. If you are just looking for something that works for a supercharger kit than you don't need anything bigger than a 255. After using the more modern pumps though the quieter ones are much more attractive :)
You got it right with the name/car. I do own that CRX. I appreciate your sentiments and I hope to have both of my Xs at the car show this year. I hope to meet you as well. I think you are talking about Frank as well. Small world yet again! If you have any other questions keep in touch.

Yeah Frank did the paint on my NSX and is a very good friend. Also recently I think my friend Sajy talked to you about a NSX he was looking at. After all this I think first off I'm going to get the CTSC hopefully they will ship it soon... Then stick with the oem pump to start. See how A/F looks and if there's a issue switch the pump out. But I keep trying to think of everything ahead of time. I do really like the specs on the AEM and herd it was quieter. When you installed it did you use the rotation kit did it come with it? Who knows maybe I'll buy a pump incase lol. I just put in cleaned and balanced injectors.

Sounds good. I did talk to Sajy about an X he wanted to buy. Did he get it?
I don't remember off the top of my head if the AEMs come with that for the install kit, but if you order the install kit for 88-91 CRX from Walbro it is included. I carry tons of them here and just use them when needed. I think they are around 10-15 bucks. If you need a part number I can get one for you if you cannot find it. Also, if you need any assistance with install or tuning on the SC I can help you with that as well. Take care.

Sajy took that trouble prone NSX to the dealer. They hit him with over 20k in repairs to do! That's not including cosmetic issues. The seller still wanted like 20k after knowing what was wrong and the condition of the car. I mean he had to get it towed places it wouldn't stay running. A dog ate the drivers seat. Or atleast looked that way. There was a method needed to shift the tranny, no reverse. As far as a nsx being a pos it was really at that point but still somewhat drivable. So that deal fell thru. He decided to wait another 6 months or so and he's going to try again with a higher budget in mind. He went from looking at 45k cars to 20k cars none worked out at the time. I think he let a few nice ones go because if color etc. I feel like if it's a solid car you can change the color. Oh well, he will get one someday... He's been wanting one for years.

I'll let you know about part numbers also if I need any assistance with the SC.
Thanks!
