what series tires are people running with thier 18" fronts. I tried running 40s but I could not turn the wheel lock to lock cuz the tire would rub on the splash guard near the door. My car currently has koni shocks and Dali springs. would going to a 35 series remedy this? By the way the rim is a volk CE28 with a 43 offset in 18x7.5. Any advice would be appreciated.

Exact same wheels with NSX-R suspension. 225/35/18 and 275/30/19

Go with the 215/35/18's! I have 225/35/18's and the wheels are very flush. Meaning they are pushed out as far as possible. And I still rub. So don’t take a chance, just get the 215/35/18's and be done with it. ;)

Besides, the difference is not noticeable between the 225's and the 215's. At least not to me, so I don’t see what the big deal is. Maybe that mentality that bigger is better?

Speaking of, I first had 275's on my rears then 265's and now I'm back to 275's. And I have to honestly admit, I wish I could get wider wheels just to say I have these big meaty wheels on the back. But in actuality, I really like the 265/30/19's the best for my rear 19's. And that’s my 2 cents!

01,

My wheels are

18x8 w/ 225/35/18's in front
19x10 w/ 275/30/19's in the rear

Ideally, I'd like to run:

215/35/18's in front &
265/30/19's in the rear

The 275's seem to have too much meat on the sidewall IMHO. But looking at the car from behind, I can not tell the difference from 265's and 275's. So I plan on changing out the sizes soon, but the front tires just wont wear out!!! :D

I have a 92 and am runing with 215/35 18's in the front. Went to this wheel/tire combination just before EXPO. Drove the car from Chicago and traked the car Watkin, no signs of any rubbing or interferance.

Thanks guys,

The only issue I'm having now is that the tires I want to run are the michelin PS2s which are not made in a 215. How much rubbing are people experiencing with the 225s?

I experience slight rubbing with the 225's.

None. (225/35/18 - 8" wide, 38 offset, lowered 1")
As reported previously a re-alignment removed the slight rub I had on the right side due to a high caster angle out of spec.

Ho ho ho, Merry Christmas!!! :D :D :D

Actually, I have no clue what the offsets are. They were custom made for my car and fit perfectly. Some NSXer's can't believe my rear wheels don't rub, that's how perfect they fit!!! :D

So, if you order some custom wheels(ie: HRE/iForged), they should already know the perfect offset.

btw, I think we are planning a local NSX gtg the weekend of Nov 27-28. Keep that in mind and hope to see you there.

Go with 35. I'm having problem with 40 on my 18. At least I can turn since the fender liners were removed but you won't escape the TCS problem when accelerating. :frown:
