great website with everything you will ever need.

Thanks for the link but now im Lost...

The website you showed me stated that the paint code for the Imola orange (only for 2004 on that website) is: YR-536P

The FAQ's here on prime state: YR-514P or the Dupont alternative as: F3034.

My car is a 91 painted in Imola Orange. Im not sure what the difference is, if there is one.

I hope there is not much difference, since i just need touch up for chips. I will also need to have a wing painted soon and that will have to be the exact color of my car otherwise it'll look trashy.

deedubb,

Missed you last weekend in Denver!! Really wanted to see that Imola Orange in the sun!!! Hopefully catch you next time. Good luck on the paint. Mods sound nice!! Take care.

I'm not sure what the difference is, either.

Here's a suggestion. You can go to your local Acura dealer. Find their book of paint samples for the 2004 cars. (Every dealer has one.) Take it outside to your car and make sure it matches; it probably will. Then you can be confident that your Imola Orange is the same as the factory one. Then, buy a bottle of the touch up paint from the parts department at the dealership; it should cost you around $5-7. (If they don't have it in stock, they can order it for you.) The paint code will be on the bottle of touch up paint. In fact, the parts department can tell you the part number for the touch up paint, and the part number includes the paint code in it.

When the body shop paints your wing, they will match the color to your car. There are slight variations in paint color due to differences at the factory as well as differences that occur over time due to varying exposures to environmental conditions (e.g. sunlight). Any good body shop will make sure that the paint is matched so close that differences are indistinguishable. They will need to have your car there with the wing for this reason.
