This isn't anything big, but it turned out to be a very nice project. I got tired of having my garage door remote up on the visor. Not only does it look bad, but with the Targa off, someone could steal it very easily when parked.

So I removed the old switch from the circuit board and ran some wires to a couple new switches that I mounted in my accessory tray. There was enough space under the access. tray to mount the remotes.

Works pretty slick..... Just wanted to share

I had a buddy with a kit that hooked up to the bright light switch. Pull up to the garage and flash the brights and it would open.

I've heard of that set up used on motorcycles...it's a nice kit.

I would have preferred to get the mirror that you guys are talking about, but this is my temporary solution for the time being. I'm doing the same type of set up on my motorcycle.
As far as location of the switches goes, this was the cheapest replacement piece I could find. And it's in easy reach of my shifting hand
