Hey. just curious. my 91 has 360,000+ miles on the original motor and still runs strong. just wondering if anyone has ever heard of any other nsx with nearly that many or more? What's the expected life of these things, anyway?

I was at Autowave once and they had a red NSX there with over 300k on it. I think it was around 340k, but I'm not certain. That was in 2006.

There was one guy who had 500,000 km on his NSX and that was many years ago, at least 4 or 5. In Europe I believe. Do a search for it.

I would imagine there could be maybe a hundred NSXs with 300K+ miles and I would imagine you've got to be over 400K miles to even be close to taking the taco for highest mileage NSX. I'm sure there is at least one with 400K miles +.

Then again, anyone that drove their NSX that much would certainly be on Prime!

still, 500,000 km is only 310,685 miles. Which is less than what mine had 4 years ago. But thanks for the post. That's what i'm trying to find out.

It is now confirmed that the car used to belong to forum member Mike5261. Yes, the car has had an interesting history, as i have come to find out from reading previous posts.
Unfortunately, i have not had the honor of racking up all of those miles.

yes, the car was sold to a gentleman that mike knew, who never registered the car. he would joy ride a little here and there, but nothing serious. Now, i bought it and had it shipped half-way across the U.S. on truck to my doorstep where i have put a grand total of 60 miles on it since recieving it last week.

The doctor that owned it from new until 2004 when he sold it at 335,000 miles to Mike, had 2 practices in CA that he drove back and forth to, racking up miles.

The story so as I heard it is that most of the miles were put on by the owner prior to Mike who was a doctor. One thing I remember was the fender on that car was almost ripped off once by a flat tire. The bolsters on the seat showed a lot of use. :) The records for that car's maintenance were almost all on the systems at the dealership and there's been a lot of money spent to properly maintain the car. It wasn't that it was a lot of money because the car kept breaking down, but maintenance costs add up over 300,000+ miles. Mike offered to buy the car from the doctor and got a great deal on it and also knowing the complete service history.

Mike is a great guy who knew that I once had a bad experience at their dealership and he PM'd me here to take care of me and invite me back into their new dealership where he let me take pictures of the service area.

For your car, if you don't have it already, I would try to call someone up at Keyes who can dig up the complete service record on that car.

Thanks. I will try that. it would be nice to have some records, because i have nill at the moment.

You sure the mileage in the photo below isn't in KM? I've never seen a blue lower indicator for the coolant temp in a US spec car.

Jett...... Bose sucks! If KMart's house brand audio was able to take a dump, Bose would come out if its ass. Is that clear enough for you?

They are immortal as long as you maintain them, don't boost them without proper engine mods and don't drive them into an unmovable object.

yes, they are in miles. I own the car now. ...what color is the lower bar on yours? It makes sense to me that they would use blue for the cold side, but this is the only NSX i've ever been in.
When i go home this weekend, i'll take a new pic of the 360,000 and post it.
...curious, is Charlotte your car? and what are the miles now?

Mine has a blue lower indicator...I think your memory is failing you Hugh

Charlotte is my baby. I always update the current mileage in my sig. She just rolled by 232,000 miles. It's nice to see another high mileage car out there. Do you drive it as much as I do? I average about 3000 mles per month. I picked up the car in November '03 with 70,000 miles on it.
