I was thinking about installing a home security system in California. Any suggestions? I just need a basic alarm system and nothing too fancy. ADT, BRINKS, BAY ALARMS. Prices for install and monthly charges.

Do a search here in the off topic section...there was a thread on this. I recommended an independent installer w/ either your own monitoring (only $9/month but you are responsible for any repairs/issues w/ the system) or my independent charges $20/month and includes repairs. I recommend DSC alarm systems.
