A friend from high school drove his parents' old Legend that he loved. Loved. He always called it "The Family NSX."

I was browsing the Honda Japan website, and saw they have a new Honda Legend.

It has a 3.5L V6 up front, plus a motor, and then two motors in the back, one for each wheel. This powertrain is similar to...

Maybe my friend was right, after all!

This is the same as the US-market Acura RLX. Unfortunately the car does not sell very well. The KA7/KA8 second-generation Legends were very popular, the KA9 Legend/RL was not. The KB1 Legend/RL tried to recapture the market by becoming slightly smaller and incorporating AWD but ultimately did not sell as well as hoped. The KC1 Legend/current RLX as far as I know also does not sell very well unfortunately.

They're not bad cars... they're just not as good as everything else in the market.

Well, that's what the RLX is. They just never recaptured what made the Gen1 and Gen2 Legend so successful. The Gen4 AWD came the closest but the current RLX is way off.

Effectively, the TL/TSX/TLX captured the market that the Legend once had. As far as I can tell, the TL/TSX/TLX does pretty well too but it is definitely not a flagship contender.

Didnt they try and put the 4WS on that too ? I remember seeing early prototypes with a system similar to the later Preludes. That was one of the neatest things i miss from my 4G Prelude.
