How much do you need to retire.

I am currently retiered. I am doing well according to their model, but I think their model sucks. It doesn't ask how much you currently have for retirement, the amount of return you're receiving, etc., etc.

la la la la, lana...

My number is: $90,018,674, I guess I still have a few more years to retirement!

I already have $674 saved, so I am on my way!

$1.3 million --> I'll just sell off everything and move to Idaho, but then I'll die early from boredom.

I always figured 5mil and I could just live off the interest....like LAZY bank interest. lol
Ski bum in the winter and surf all summer. Hmmm...come to think of it, maybe it's time to liquidate....nope wouldn't make it.

I am going to sue some airlines for treating me like white trash when it is obvious to everyone but myself that I am in fact white trash. And the court system is going to pay out because they too will be afraid of treating me like the white trash I am. So I will go on being white trash in retirement rich on easy money.

Now THAT'S a plan!!!! But, if you actually fit in that Ferrari, you're about 300lbs too light for your plan to work. Remember, you must be a step or two beyond morbidly obese to garner any sympathy in court. It's a commonly known fact that genetics and genetics alone are responsible for fat rolls that hang down past one's knees.

I really don't need to retire...I enjoy my career. Oh, I get it....what would I need to retire...well a divorce would probably make it much easier, cut costs by about 75%. Just kidding, I love my wife and she works hard too. We could probably retire now if we moved out of CA, but if we stay in CA we probably need another couple million.

Holy crap I laughed until I cried.

I'm at about $1 Million right now. I put in a fairly moderate income level since I fully intend to own my home(s) and cars outright and expenses should be fairly low. I'll golf and, hopefully, race a bit and travel occasionally. I'll still consult by that age, too, so I can stil make a bit of money on the side to keep me busy and still have decent income.

You need to sell all those cars and buy a prius. I am interested in the CGT BTW.

Right now, I have enough saved up to drink myself to death on the day I retire! But figure this - I am 38 years away from retirement, so I believe that by then, with inflation and the lack of recent growth in my account, I'll be able to get one beer! Maybe I should start stockpiling whiskey right now and get it done like a man!

I didn't bother entering any info because my wife is 14 years younger than me.:biggrin:

THAT'S what I need to retire!

My number was $1,230,000. I'm humble.
