How often should the power steering fluid be changed, and what is the easiest way to change the power steering fluid? Thanks.

ideally after every 1500 miles as pas fluid is a weak link in the nsx, tho it depends how many turns you make. i'm sure most don't fill it at all. the filler is in the trunk behind the carpet, right beside the electric aerial.

make sure you get the 'high density electrolyte' version as normal pas fluid won't work.

j/k nsx's don't have fluid pas! it's electric!

Don't mislead him. The PS fluid change is performed at the 60k service. It adds and additional service fee to the bill, but it's worth it as that is the only time you need to change it. You can wait until the 100k service for the Flux Capacito, but if you want to do the Fusion conversion that costs a few more dollars.

my mistake..... i was thinking of the JDM 'mega strongman' (don't you just love the japanese names!) steering option. uses an additional magneto electrical fluid controller to give additional flow current to the variactor pump

Thanks guys. You guys prompt me to fine my service manual CD hidden behind all the stuff that my 2 older kids brought home from college. Should have easy access again when they go back at the end of August. EPS is good, that's one less think to change for now. I was changing my power steering fluid on all my cars at the same time, and didn't find anything similar in the NSX. That's what prompted my original question at the time. I better go change the air in my tires now. Thanks again.

I actual flushed out the headlight fluid in my Volvo. It accumulates every 6 months or so. Volvo will be donated soon, right after my dauther gets her license.

How can I tell if my power steering pump is within snap ring range?
