Bought a set of Nico's rear spats that was in storage for many years, and put in my storage for another two years, and finally a month ago I got it painted at a local shop. Now it is ready for installation. The problem is, the rear spat as it sits over the existing OEM spats, does not have enough contact area for adhesives. This also means there is no place for screws; at least not areas that are not an eyesore and visible.

Anybody have any experience installing the Nico rear spat?

thanks in advance.

Sorry this is all I could think about when imagining how those must install.

I did. But you may not like the answer. The front part which overhangs near the rear tire fender, my bodyshop put a screw to secure it there; that part is easy. Then they fabricated a bracket to secure it in the back side, however, in order to do this they had to drill and screw into the factory body panel. Then a screw was screwed into the spat, into the bracket and then bondo'd over and sanded. If I ever were to get rid of the spat, I'd have fill some holes in my factory body panel.
