I just bought a set of HP Evolution wheels and tires from a prime member. They came with 5mm spacers for the front and rear. I used spacers on the front wheels and was told by a prime member that spacers are not required on the rears. The wheels are 18x8 and 19x9.5 and my car is a 1991. The rear wheels are against the calipers. I would appreciate any information from those that have the wheels if the rear spacers are needed.

Although I never drove a mile with the set a bought.. I did try and mount them briefly and found out that I needed a 5mm rear spacer to clear on my 93!

Yes yes yes you will need them. I was told I did'nt know what I was talking about by another member, but I needed them for my 91. You will have no issues running them. Enjoy.

I have 18/19 evo's and i didn't need spacers in the rear. I originally tried 3mm up front but it rubbed the powedercoat on the calipers so i went with 5mm up front and none in the back and i have no rear rubbing.

How much room do you have between the wheel and caliper on the rear. My wheel is tight against the caliper and I am thinking that I need a little clearance.

I had HP's before and didn't need the spacers in the rear. Fronts needed some though. Maybe the NA1's need spacers in the rear?

That is weird guys. I guess some do and some don't. I definately needed them because when i torqued the rears down the wheel was crammed into the rear caliper. It would not budge.

I decided to install the rear spacers as it moved the wheel out about 3/16" from touching the caliper. The wheel without the 5mm spacer was touching the caliper which I didn't feel safe with. I would like to thank those that gave me their input.
