I shorted the service connector and I got both Code 1 & 2 from the check engine light. Which is for the front and rear O2 sensors. I cleared the codes with the clock fuse and then went about following the road test repro steps in the manual (4th gear, 1200rpm start, WOT for at least 5 sec and then no throttle for 5 secs). I spent like 30 minutes doing this over and over again... no luck, so I went onto the other test (assuming that you you don't have o2 sensor issues). The other test is for the fuel system and you have to hold the car at 3000rpm in neutral for 2 minutes. No check engine light either.... Any thoughts?

Guess you just had what the manual calls an intermittent failure. The ECU can through some weird codes if you try to start the car with a very weak battery.

You could have an intermittant failure or you just didn't meet the enabling critria for the DTC. The codes you have are usually "two trip" codes. You have to meet the enabling critia more than once. It sees a failure more than once on different trips. Wait a day or two and do it again...
