Yesterday I had the opportunity to drive a Ferrari Enzo. I must say, the power is massive. But I was a bit dissapointed about two (major) things. First the handling. I thought this supercar should handle far better than my NSX. But no it didn't! I did drive only on the street. So no comparising could be made on track. Secondly, the F1 paddles are horrible. Shifting up costs to much time and everytime I shifted up my head went forward.
The accelaration is amazing. And the dash is one of the nicest I have ever seen. Simple, effective and ergonomic. After a while it gets very hot in the Enzo. Not comfortable. My conclusion: If I had the money. I would go for a F430 and a fully upgraded NSX and a house with garage with them

Wow, lucky you. What do you mean by shifting costs much time? The F1 gearbox should shift 100x faster than anyone could with a normal H-gearbox. Was the Enzo damaged? I see the car is parked in front of the bodyshop that did the work on your NSX.

Yes it is fast, but not fast enough to not feel a resistence because of the engine torque. Perhaps when driving in high revs it is different, but I wasn't able to drive like that on he street.
The front bumper needed a repaint. That's why it was at the bodyshop.

Once in a lifetime opportunity... congrats Gerard and thanks for the feedback. You were smart to take pictures or else everyone would be saying "yeah right... sure you you did"... LOL... always provide proof on this forum!

That's not Gerard. Its the owner of the car. Just look at how happy he is.

btw, congrats and thanks for the pics.

Perhaps he would be less happy if, after taking his car for a front bumper repaint, he came across this thread:

It was with permission of the owner. And just around the block.

Thanks Gerard! I'm really enjoying your posts!

I don't think I will ever be in a position to decide whether to buy one or not... But it is comforting to know that should I meet one on the track (probably more unlikely than me considering buying one as there is only one Enzo in Australia) and it is faster than me, it is because the driver is better than me and not the car!
