I finally got the car dynoed today at Altered Atmosphere. I thought at 9psi I would get a little more HP, but anyway I got 350RWHP on just turbos and chickened out on the NOS dyno. The aerodynes were at full boost just before 4000rpm's. I dropped the NOS down to a 125 shot. I did hit the NOS on the way home and all I can say is Holly Sh@t. It is one of the fastest cars I have ever driven. I definately have to get a progressive controller to go with the NOS. I hit the NOS at about 70MPH and the damn car started going sideways. I got a little scared and let off. I am going to the track next Friday night if anyone wants to meet up. I will probably go to 75/80. If anyone wants to meet up PM me. I have NSXROX going so far. :D :D :D :D Sorry, I am all smiles. It took over 1 year to get everything done.

I would guess that the ponies are a tad lower than you expected because of your engine build. I don't remember the specific compression of your pistons, but the low compression will give a starting point that is lower than those with stock pistons. I believe folks running a tuned 6psi w/ aerodynes have similar hp numbers. In addition, unless things have changed with those particular turbos, they lose their efficiency around that level of boost.

The good news is that you have the option to turn up the boost if you ever decide to run larger turbos. Where exactly is the track you plan on going to? Perhaps if I am in town, I'll be able to make it out.

The torque was 301. Sig, I am going to 75/80. If you are in town, and want to meet up, call me at 443-271-8595
I am running 9.5 1 compression pistons. I guess you are right about the HP. I have decided to dyno it with the NOS also, maybe next week. That should put it at around 475-500RWHP depending on if I go back to the 150 shot. I am not going to try that until the progressive controller is installed.

Greets Rob, I have not been around the board for awhile as I am very busy on my go fast stuff. yes you need a controller for sure. keep us posted
best regards david
PS look into NX'S new control arrays.they do everything!

I can't even imagine going sideways at 70!! Thats insane! I'm still trying to get my car to go sideways in at 5mph!! :D

It is a NX wet kit. I wouldn't feel comfortable going over 75 on a dry kit.

Rob, the NX control array is for your system.it will control a wet setup.the features of their new product is 'sick' and the same brand.I will post some info and links for you. or you can fiddle with the aem nitrous controls

I do know some people who run a bigger shot on dry, but I would feel more comfrotable knowing that I am getting the additional fuel needed. You don't want to run lean.

Would you mind elaborating?

I also would not go dry higher then 75. the reason is a wet setup provides the extra fuel from a tap directly into the fuel feed and often has a secondary fuel pump to insure the motor does not go lean, the dry kit bleeds gas state nitrous to the FPR raising pressure at the injectors to provide the needed fuel.this can cause the injectors to run at to high a duty cycle and lock them up and no number of safety switches will save you if one of your injectors lock....your motor will be the worlds largest paper weight. BUT if you have tuned your motor to run larger injectors you can run a larger dry shot safely (within reason of course) say 100 max. IMHO a stock NSX motor should not run a shot higher then 100, with build internals and proper fuel and timing management you can go 150 no problem(robs motor for example)
hope that helped. BTW Maurice, with your new forged JE pistons I would not hesitate to run a hundred wet on your car and still sleep like a baby:)
best regards david
ps I personally prefer dry to 75 and wet above that. just as a side note I am now running a wot switch under the pedal and at the throttle body as well as the horn buttons. three triggers all have to meet requirement for the system to fire not counting the window switch and fuel and oil safety switches. its as safe as I think I can make it period

So, can I assume that "dry" is safe for 75 shots and below, provided that you have a healthy engine running?
