Sometimes my job can be a bit, "interesting".......

Customer[10:18 AM]: Hey

Customer [10:19 AM]: how much for two Fan Belts for a 95 acura legend?
Customer [10:19 AM]: I can't seem to go on my browser

Hondacuraworld [10:19 AM]: there are three on the car, which do you need?

Customer[10:20 AM]: Okay let me pop the hood
Customer [10:20 AM]: Be cause I think one of them snapped

Hondacuraworld [10:20 AM]: ok

Customer[10:20 AM]: The one in the middle

Hondacuraworld [10:20 AM]: What does the belt that you need, drive?

Customer[10:21 AM]: The two outer belts are intact but the belt for the middle snapped

Hondacuraworld [10:21 AM]: which drives what component?

Customer[10:21 AM]: And also I spoke to you awhile back, my ignition locked had jammed

Customer[10:21 AM]: And my keyhole on the driver side won't open, I have to open my car from the passenger side

Customer[10:23 AM]: Which belt drives the component?

Hondacuraworld [10:24 AM]: huh? I dunno.....you tell me, what belt snapped?

Customer[10:24 AM]: The middle belt
Customer[10:24 AM]: I'm looking inside now
Customer [10:24 AM]: Of the 6 wheels, only 5 are spinning

Hondacuraworld [10:25 AM]: Alternator, A/C, P/S?
Hondacuraworld [10:25 AM]: which wheel is it that no spin?

Customer[10:25 AM]: Lol

Sounds like the one that spins the muffler to me.:biggrin:
 
I think he/she need to take to a mechanic instead of doing anything for themselves.

Or just sell him/her all 3 belts and since 1 snapped the other 2 are going to snap soon, so it's better off that all 3 needs to be changed at the same time cause it will save them shipping and labor charges.

P.S. the middle one spins the comptec supercharger:wink::biggrin:
 
Regarding a suspension squeak.....

Customer [2:33 PM]: i covered it in lithium grease cause thats how i figured out what was making the creaking sound

Customer [3:01 PM]: no
Customer [3:01 PM]: i just isolated the problem right now
Hondacuraworld [3:01 PM]: they do sometimes require retorquing
Hondacuraworld [3:01 PM]: grab a wrench and try to twist it
Hondacuraworld [3:01 PM]: what is confusing is that those never go bad, so the first logical course is to tighten the bolt

LOL, I did phone support for about 6 years in IT 60-100 calls a day. I had some good ones too, People would say "You sure that will fix it" I would say "Mine works fine" lol
 
Sound like one of those "Eye D Ten T" issues. :wink:

sounds like some people shouldnt be "do it yourselfer's" on my weekly/daily runs to shucks i use to witness some rather interesting discussions, would have been like your fan belt story, anyways, good luck with your job! i bet it gets old
 
I remember my first IT job as a help desk before i finally got into programming. 1 out of every 3 calls was "I forgot my password, can you tell what it is?" and this happens everyday, sometimes from the same person in the same day! I can't do anything about it because they are my bosses.:confused: and i wonder why they are the bosses.
