OK,
so it is a "street legal" Indy car with a smaller engine but WOW!
I was sitting at Sonic having a root beer and suddenly this two place Indy car pulls in. Ok, sumthin' ya don't see every day. The driver spotted my NSX and offered to give each other a ride in our cars. It took me all of 1/15000 nanoseconds to agree.
Bottom line is it was an actual Indy car ran in some past Indy races and then was shipped to <st1>Europe</st1> to make it into a two place car. They exchanged motors for a 1500cc Honda Gold wing with straight pipes and some performance upgrades and presto-chango! Street legal.
The puny motor was surprisingly quick. No top end but real quick. I gave the driver a ride in my NSX as promised and he was astounded.
All in all a great surprise to my slow afternoon.
