i just got my nsx a month ago. got a speeding ticket going the same speed as everyone else on the road, on my birthday. it was a speed trap and they were pulling people over one after another. then, the ignition switch goes bad IN THE ABSOLUTE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE on my way back from miami. then, it starts running rough, i was able to diagnose it as a bad coil pack. i bought a used one from science of speed but its for a different model year because the plug doesnt fit. then, i hit a deer. this is my 3rd deer ive hit, the other deer i hit in the past were in my beater so never did anything about them insurance wise, but this was unusual in that i clipped its legs and it flew clean over the corner of the car. i was swerving to miss it and went off road and hit i dont know what which caused a dent in quarter panel and hood. the ground ripped the bottom part of bumper off but thats about all the damage. it drives perfectly fine. unfortunately there is no "deer evidence". i had no idea insurance adjusters were so skilled and technical. there was no "hair or blood/tissue" found. so my rate will go up. but ive never had an insurance claim in my whole life (im 32) im a good driver and citizen. then, the next day i get another speeding ticket. i am driving the car gingerly because of the damage and driving same speed as everyone else around me. the cop says yes you were going with everyone else but you appeared to be going the fastest so i zapped you.

i swear to the internet god i am not embelishing this story even in the slightest, its totally true. what in the hell is it with this car? ive never seen such strange coincidence of unfortunate events with such frequency.

anyway, i am worried about chassis rigidity. is the nsx more rigid or less compared to regular alloy of regular cars? is it very easy to get tweaked? now that i think about it it does pull slightly to the right now. i am taking it to the best state of the art shop in town. i really went on some rough bumpy ground when i went off, the car was bouncing all over the place and it really made me cringe. have a lot of people on this board gone offroad in this car?

wish me good luck. thanks,

p.s. this is the car i bought: http://nsxprime.com/forums/showthread.php?t=102213

What bad luck!! Make sure you have them check out all the suspension parts as that could be part of why the car is pulling. Did you peek under for the oil pan and oil filter, make sure neither was ripped off or damaged? Remember these cars sit LOW!. Good luck.

Don't know what to say except, sorry about your bad luck and thank God you weren't injured.

Ouch! Sorry to hear.
I've had my past share of deer hits.
You can be the best driver, and these
bambis will still run into you.
Hopefully, all turns out well.
Best of luck!

Sorry to hear you misfortune. I would take the car to a good alignment shop and have them check out the suspension geometry just in case. It doesn't take much to tweak the A-arms. Good luck on your insurance claim, make sure you get new OEM parts. I am sure the car will be fine in the long run. BTW, Coil packs are common problem items especially the rear bank on cars driven in the rain. There are other problems that are discussed frequently on these boards and the longer you are an owner the more you learn. Hang in there.

Dang man, sorry about the run of bad luck. Glad you in one pc though. Hopefully all the damage is minor and the car is back up and running ASAP.
