Advice please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just got invited to bullrun, Its starts in 15 days. I have no plans nor anything put together but it is a chance of a lifetime! I Will need sponsors etc immediately! Any ideas on some places that would want the national advertising? I will be racing for a charity obviously any money over entry fee and cost of tickets would go directly to that! I am in touch with 4 different shildrens charities right now..

I cant decide to go or not to go!!!

Normally I am someone that pplans things and usually do not do things this crazy with no notice.

But I cant guarantee I will be in it next year!

HELP!!!
Email me with ideas please. [email protected]

Lol. Dude. 56 views and no responses. Here's your response. We're going.
Monday morning I start calling companies and looking for local sponsorship from around Cincinnati. I'll also be calling all my media hook ups to see if we can get the press to give us a little boost.

And if it is Spike TV's version of Bull Run, be prepared to waste your car. I remember last year that Lambo was toast after the show. As well, they made those guys do some pretty dumb stuff with their cars.

If it's the Bull Run Live (the real rally) then go for it! Although, for the $20,000 entry fee.... I'd rather have a Lovfab Turbo, Stoptech BBKs, and JRZ/Moton Suspension and enough left over to keep me in R compound tires for the whole track season. That's a lot of jack to blow for one week and not even get laid.

with enough sponsors, i think your car will be ok IE. repairs etc... and you know what? doing things on a whim are really fun. if your work schedule (if you work) allows it, then do it and make the NSX steal the spotlight once more. Believe me, if you pass this up you will be kicking your self in the but a few months later. Not to mention everytime you watch the show! GO DUDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd take my 04 EL if i could...lol! Haha, obviously an NSX is a bit more costly than that, but honestly, if you're one who loves driving. Do it.

I love driving and would not pass this up, just as long as i'm not stupid in what i'm doing.

Drive safely and good luck!

if you really dont want to do it give them my name. i'll go right now. if you really change your mind i'll pm you my phone #
serious

Don't leave anything valuable laying around if Assley is doing the show. And don't get VD. Other than that go have fun and represent!!!!

No its bullrun live ( the real deal) The entry fee is covered by sponsors.. My car:rolleyes: I am not real worried about it.. A lambo getting hurt on this is kind of expected if you ask me.. My car is the least of my concern.. I want to do it for charity, not really for a lovefab etc.... Granted I am in talks with them to get one just not in the next 11 days.. I will be rolling the 95. I will have it ready by saturday and will be leaving wed of next week. Just need to make sure I have some sponsors to help with the 20k. I am not one to take that kind of money out of my companies for personal fun.

If anyone has a sponsor please email or PM me asap! I want to get this rolling. Not alot of time!

Thanks, Whoever she is I will not be getting anything from her.

Car club or show whores are not my cup of tea.

WOW 318 views! 11 responses, You would think this would attract at least some attention.. Guess not.

I think its cool as hell... but a vast majority of this forum frown upon this type of activity and they are probably biting their tounges in the wings. Might have something to do with the low response rate.

How'd you get the invite?

I've been wanting to do the AKA and Bullrun for years now and gumball up until it got so far away from what it used to be (not to mention ridiculously overpriced).

If i were you i'd drop your car off at the nearest 3m dealer and have them just chuck as much clear bra over your entire car, especially the front end as you can. Doesn't have to be pretty... just functional. Either that or shes gonna need a respray on the front part of the car when you're done.

The Vivid crew had their entire car wrap'ed in vinyl before last years bullrun... protected their car really well. Something to consider.

I hate it when people sit in the wings and bite there tounges. I will be driving a 95 acura with 175k miles  I am not one of these people with 500,000.00 to blow on this shit, It is JUST for the experience... I will not be doing stupid rates of speed and acting like an idiot! I have way toooo much to lose. I really thought people would at least express their feelings good or bad..

GL! Why don't you think you couldn't get in next year? Is it invitation only? I would do it if I had the time though.

BTW, I think Sarge wants you to do it.

Sarge, I am definatley doing everything I can do make it happen.. I can't believe the way people are acting about this! "I want nothing to do with " "I can't believe you would do it!" " I think the whole idea is stupid"

Its funny the way people act sometimes...

No once you get invited you usually go. If I dont go this year I will not be invited next year for sure. Once your in it you can go every year if you want. And you can bring more vehicles etc...

Last year I got an invitation to bullrun also. I got excited about it too. Then I dug through their site and saw that their entry fee was $15,000 (I think). Yeah, a bit rich for my blood. I never responded lol.

Anyone here ever entered the bullrun? I spoke to one guy who seem VERY knowledgeable about it and claimed to be a co-driver of one of the entry cars. He said that even though you pay the thousands of dollars to enter, that doesn't guarantee you a spot on the run. He said you gotta earn it, or qualify at the top to make the run for the show by competing in various events before the run started. Then the top handful of cars make the cut for the show. Am i right or wrong?

Incorrect, A good friend of mine was on it last year, The entry fee is 20k. You are suppose to pull that money from sponsors. And there is no qualifying at the top of the rally. They will follow whomever the better story is closer. Its all in making a mark to get the tv time.

I don't know what type of "attention" you were hoping to attract. The goal of the thread seemed to be having people provide you with sponsorship information which obviously no one has been able to do. No one seems to be trashing the idea. If the lack of responses is being interpreted by you that people are "saying" that "I want nothing to do with this" then why is that a negative against the Prime community? In one of your posts you indicate that you are "not one to take that kind of money out of my companies for personal fun" so why are you seemingly surprised that no one else wants to take their money to fund your personal fun either?

I am not bashing your idea since I wouldn't mind doing that or One Lap or similar driving experiences but I don't think you can expect too many Prime members to be able to have the ability to pony up $20k for your event.

Good luck with your efforts. Hope you make it.

RSO, I don't think Source is just referring to the messages typed in this thread, (though that's not your fault, that's all anyone would think it was) but we've made countless phone calls trying to get some help and haven't just been told that they were unable to, but that they were turning their noses to us because they thought it was stupid. We thought it would be cool to take a 13 year old car out and have it showcased with some of the hottest modern rides driving across the country. We thought it would represent all the NSX owners well..... guess we thought more of this event than anyone else did.

Hell we called one vendor up and asked if he would just donate a clutch because Source's is practically fried. Not only did he say no, but he told us if we were interested in the clutch, we better purchase it soon because there was only one left. lol. So we've pretty much gotten the thumb in the butt from everyone on this. :frown:

It's a tough economy right now so there is not a whole lot of people willing to donate in general so I can see how you guys are having a rough go of it. Money is tight all around with the price of gas, food, etc. going through the roof so the days of sponsorship monies for showcasing cars may be close to ending. :frown:

To our credit though... most people have a year to plan for this, come up with everything and make a go of it. We had eleven days. And we knew it was a long shot from the beginning, I think we were just more surprised by the overall negative responses we got more than the "lack of donations". We really weren't looking for too much money out of this community. We had big local (Cincinnati) sponsors in mind for that. I think Source and I are just a little miffed by the sentiment.

I just saw this thread and I think its a great idea. I hope you guys make it in. I would love to see the NSX in the Bull Run..........GO SOURCE........
