Ok... It's about OEM Bridgestone RE010 vs. Yokohama A022 tires.

This probably has been talked about in the past, but I couldn't find anything specific in the forums. The FAQ had some info on the comparison, but wanted to get more feedback from you guys.

I need to replace my fronts as they are getting bald on the insides(it still handles wonderfully in the rain). My rears will need to be replaced probably in the next 3k miles or so. I've used Yokos from the beginning, but wondering whether or not I should go w/ Bridgestones. I know it's probably only a slight difference in the performance, but if one performs better than the other, I'm all for it. Tirerack has RE010's cheaper by about $25 per tire.

I hate to ask this question as I'm sure it's been answered already. I did a quick scan through the other tire threads and didn't find it. I just put new rear tires on my car yesterday. I was having the oil changed and noticed the steel belts coming through so bad that I could get my fingers behind them!!!! I called the tire place in town and set up for me to drive there and have SO2 Bridgestones put on. (the guy said they were good and I had heard a few things here so I said fine.) I had Dunlop SP9000's before but he didn't have any in stock. Anyway, I got there and it turned out that he couldn't find the SO2's he said were in stock and suggested that I go with the Nitto NT555's. He said they were a very good tire and would last longer than the SO2's. I don't track the car. The question is........... Is this a good tire in everyone's experience. I'd hate to think that I settled for a crappy tire because I was in such dire need of them. I have never heard of them.

I've had both the Yoko and Bridgestone tires when I could actually fit stock wheels on my car. The tread patterns are very similar, so they handle about equal in the rain. The Yokos are a bit better in adhesion and turn in crispness, however, they are a tad louder on the street. Both are good tires IMO.

I actually liked the Bridgestone RE71, which is similar in tread design to the RE010, however, they are a bit harder, and performance is not as good, though very similar.
