Identifying '92 Stock ECU Chip

Long ago, I had an aftermarket performance chip installed in my stock ECU by Dinan. Shipped them the ECU, they soldered a socket to the board, installed their chip, returned mine. After that, I had several others burned by Autothority. For the last several years, I've been running an AEM box and my stock ECU and chips have been in my parts box.

Recently I've had a need to use my stock ECU and stock chip. The Autothority chips are all labeled as you'd expect, but it's been so long I can't remember what the stock chip label looked like. I'm left wondering which of the last 2 is the stock chip and which one is the Dinan. One chip is an AMD with a label that simply has "61E" hand written in red felt tip pen. I THINK I remember that this is the stock chip. The other one has only a white label with a black dot on it.

Can anyone confirm a similar looking chip in their stock ECU from an early model NSX? Or better yet, can anyone post a pictire of the inside of their stock ECU?

Thanks in advance!

Many chips have the week of manufacture printed on them as a four digit code,
e.g. 9143 would indicate the 43rd week of 1991.

If your chips are all dated, and only one of them is from '92 or before, that would clinch it.

The Dinan EPROM in the post below this one is marked 9448, the 48th week of 1994.

Here are pictures of my dinan chip. first one has the label on and second with it removed. The window on the chip is a UV erasing window.

Thoms the man...........I was going to say most aftermarket chips are rewritable and look for the sticker

We offer ecu reprogramming for the 91-94 ecu's. From the ones we have seen all of them look like the one in the picture. Here is a picture of my pesonal ecu getting ready to be prepped for a custom program. If you noticed it has a plain white square shapped sticker. That is the OEM chip. Hope that helps.

So the UV window allows it to be erased? My chip looks just like this one including the "M27C256B" and the ST "Singapore" There's a square white label with a black dot on it but you can see a round circle showing through from underneath about the same size as your window -- so it looks like this is the Dinan!

Well mine definitely has the sticker but it has "61E" hand written on it in red (the sticker) and it does NOT have what looks like a "61A" printed above your sticker (maybe these are revision numbers?). Also I tried zooming in on your photo and is that an "AMD" printed on the 3rd line below the sticker? Mine is an AMD chip as well, so I'm guessing that one is the stock chip. Any chance you could get a close-up of the chip so I can see what's printed?

Thanks for your help!
