Idle problems ABS light on need help

I don’t know if the two are related but I recently took my 92 in a long trip that had multiple high speed sweepers and after the drive the car started to load up and back fire when idling the problem only occurs at about 2k rpm hesitation and rpm’s drop and then it runs fine as soon as it clears it self out. Now I have tried some good fuel injector cleaner with no luck. I’m going to pull the spark plugs and check them see if in getting spark /clean burn any one suggest a good replacement spark plug? while I got them out I might as well replace them. Also I noticed oil residue in the throttle body from what I believe to be a oil breather tube off the back side of the motor why is this connected to the intake? The oil in not over full because I checked this and also followed the repair manual and compared it with my owners manual to be 100% sure .I just cant figure it out. The car has a new fuel/air/oil filter anyone have this problem and have a fix. Also the ABS light is on but the breaks work great?

The hose from the engine to the intake, I presume, is the PCV return.

Backfiring is caused by too much [unburnt] fuel in the exhaust system (so clogged injectors would not be the issue). You need to check your ignition system: spark plugs and coils are likely culprits.

I recommend ONLY OEM spark plugs. Check the Vendors Forum for places to find discount parts.


As for your ABS system: Do a Forums search (the "search" between New Posts and Quick Links). There are probably a couple of thousand posts just on diagnosing ABS issues, it has been covered from basic overview to extreme gritty detail.
