Sorry didn't know where else to post this.

A few months ago I found a post or article about someone upgrading their nsx coils to k-series coils or something along those lines. I can't see, to find that post anymore. Searched prime and google and came up with nothing.

Does any one know where I can find this post?

From what I've heard the original coils aren't the greatest correct me if I'm wrong

Coils are actually very good, problem is or at least I've run into is water. Specifically the rear bank in rain or washing conditions, water will get past the rear plastic cover's rubber seal (seal deteriorates) and works its way down the coil pack and creates corrosion & in some cases water creates a high resistance short condition. Remedy was to remove the coils dry them out before they corrode, repair or replace the rear seal and you should be good for many years again.

No hahaha I know about the injectors but I need something bigger then k-series injectors. Il be using injector dynamics 1000cc injectors.

What I'm refering to is a coil post I seen awhile back about s2000 or k-series coils in an nsx

What about in a high boost high power setup?

Mario its not required btw How much boost are we talking here? I'm running about 10~12psi SOS Intercooled S/C for 3 years no issues at all with the OEM coil packs. I'd check your OEM to make sure they are in spec, especially if they are 20yrs old. I'm sure if you rig something you could make another coil work, but why when the OEM isn't broke why fix it?

Mario? You mean Bruno lol

Well this winter il be building the turbo setup for low boost but next year a fully built 3.0L is in the plans, sleeved etc and planning on 20 +/- psi with the 4094 I just picked up

But if you guys say the original coils are good then i will just keep those and we'll see I guess

Oh hey I was told your name was Mario lol sorry man... Burno I think you'll be fine with OEM coils, I know if a few turbo setups running 550+ rwhp and still on stock coils. I will be tuned in can't wait to see your build. What are you looking to put down in terms of rwhp?

7ish would be the area I would like to be in. I want something reliable but at the same time my nsx has to make more power then my civic it would only make sense lol

your nsx doesnt need to be faster than your civic LOL it can be parked and still WIN. LOL the NSX is the show winner every time, even if the civic has 100HP NSX rulez

but more power is always nice

hows that honda saying go?? "mess with the best, break down like the rest "

I love the nsx really. It's my favorite car always dreamed of one and now I finally got one. But it is really slow....it looks faster then anything else on the street but slow, I guess it was fast for its time but after driving my civic and all my other cars...the nsx HAS to be boosted!

Never heard that saying lol but it won't break down like the rest even if it is boosted. Everything has its limit.

Remember only exotic cars break down lol
