Both of my NSXs have been hit will parked in the parking lot at work.
This fender resulted in a $ 5222.00 check from State farm.
Final actual repair cost was $2600.

how the hell did u get that much from state farm???
i have the same damage, mine is even worse by a hit and run in a parking lot!
i ended up fixing it myself becasue state farm will only pay $500!!! i am in canada tho!

over $5000? that 1/4 panel is no more than $2000 tops and even including the blends on the trunk and the door will not result in an additional 3K. hmmmm maybe i should switch to State Farm.

unless they write him a new panel, if not, there is no way near 5k!

I don't think I would post that information in a public forum. Glad you got her fixed though. What did you do with the extra $$$...buy some mods?

The estimate was done by state farm. It included a new quarter panel, paint it and paint the nearby areas to match, new wheel,(the offending car grazed the wheel before it struck the fender), 4 wheel alignment,
The truck wing suffered a minor paint chip from the impact and was to be removed and retouched. The rear bumper tail lights etc were to be removed as part of the fender repair. The wheel liner, etc.
Got a check in about 10 days. Did not replace the wheel or do alignment, did not replaced the fender , the small crease was worked out without incedent.
Kenny Hawkin in Cary,nc did a wonderful repair with no visable signs of repair.
The extra cash was used to help finance my little "yard truck" Jeff
PS The young lady that backed into it had the State Farm coverage that paid.

At 5K I'd say that State Farm wrote for a correct, uncompromised repair using new parts.
The new wheel and panel make up over 3k in parts.
How long has it been back in service?

They did a complete first class estimate that the NSX should have had. It has Oct of 2007

The funny thing is I have about the same damage on my NSX right now. Same side, same panel, about the same crease in that location on the quarter panel.
