Hi,
I was just fooling around with my new Canon ZR70 DV camera, and decided to mount it to the NSX (using HAMA mount).
The video is not the best (a little vibration), but it's better than nothing!
Also, there is a clip of the SOS HID's, but it didn't turn out that well either.

Nice Clip. Nice DL speed too, I got about 370K\sec on the download.

By the way, does anyone have the Taitec headers yet? I am considering buying them over the Comptech or DC.

Thank you so much for posting this!!!
If you don't mind, will it be possible for you to post one that contains the sound from behind the car?

Again, thank you!

Thomas,

May I ask where and how much you got the camera? I've been looking into buying the same one and wanted to how it works for others first. Can you give me some pro/cons of it?

Thanks :)

I am getting 3.0 on cable modem! Its taking forever! Maybe everyone is downloading this thing right now!

Hi,

Tiger740, the only footage I have of the NSX leaving is this:
NSX Leaving
I'm pretty sure that you wanted to hear it under WOT and stuff, but that is all that I recorded.
:(

Veleno, I got my camera at Circuit City, and paid close to $800 for it. I'm sure you can find it online for substantially cheaper- I just happened to need it at the time, so I spent the extra dough to have it right away. Anyways, I haven't played with it too much, but from my experience with it, I am very happy with the purchase. The button layout and such is nice and comfortable, and the using the camera is very easy and intuitive. I used Windows Movie Maker on WinXP to make those short clips.
So far, so good. Sorry that I couldn't give you any detailed review, I think that I will have much more time to play with it next month. If you would like to know more about it this summer, feel free to email me.

That was perfect!!
Thank you!!

whs520,
Thanks for the vid very cool. Can you pls post one at WOT from inside the cockpit? there aren't many liteweight exhaust clips or movies. Thanks so much.

nice clips!
good sound and resolution..
you know what..
at first I thought u didnt have you pants on when you are stepping out of your car lol

Is there a reason why I only get about 7-10 seconds of the "leaving" video when it shows 35 seconds? Anyone else having problems with the download?

Hey, MadFast,
I don't think that I have a clip of WOT, but I will check again.
If not, I won't be able to provide one until next month- I'm going to be extremely busy this month. Let me know if you want a clip in June or something.

One question... how do you get the video from that onto the PC? do you need specific software? is it a firewire cable?

Yes,
I used a firewire cable (4pin to 4pin) to transfer the movies to my notebook computer (Gateway 450, 1.8 GHz, Win XP). I used Windows Movie Maker (preinstalled with OS), but when I have time, I plan on looking into Adobe Premiere.

very enjoyable files....loved the sound of the lightweight GT.

did your chin spoiler scrap when you pulled up on the driveway?

At first I thought of that too but if u look carefully its not scraped .. more like the rear tires slipped on some dirts when he is driving up the driveway..

whs250,
pls check and if you dont...it's all good.. I can wait till June to get a video from u. Let me know though and thanks for putting up this post.

:)

An actual post on the thread topic

I just finished a DE on Monday with the local Porsche club and had a blast. The only Japanese car there, actually the only car not German. Anyway, with a combination of the GT Lightweight exhaust and the Comptech headers, I got A LOT of compliments on the sound of the car. Nice deep tone and not ricey!

From the sound of the clip, you have an exhaust leak. It is most noticeable at takeoff. After that, it sounds very nice.
Hi,
Are you talking about the in-cabin video? Because the initial noise/vibration is from the way I mounted the video camera (I didn't mount it perfectly, so it rattled during initial acceleration).
It's definitely not from the exhaust. I just couldn't get the camera mounted just right.
Let me know if that was the noise that you were talking about.

Actually I am referring to the video of you pulling out of your driveway.
Hi,
Can you explain to me about an exhaust leak? This is a surprise for me: nobody who has heard it has mentioned that. I've had the exhaust for 6 months and have not noticed that.
I bought the exhaust brand new from SOS, and had it professionally(?) installed at King Acura.
Are you certain about that? What causes an exhaust leak? What steps do I take to verify that it is, in fact, a leak?
Does anyone else on this board have any opinions about the sound from the clip?
