Holy!

5 words...Fishing wire and a crane

Lol jk, Amazing piloting skills. I wonder how many RC copters he broke before he learned all those tricks. That being said, who wants to get a ride from that guy? hehe

Any reason why this couldn't be attempted in a real helicopter w/ pilot? Well other than obviously not as insanely performed, but fly in odd directions like such....

I believe an Apache can fly upside down and stuff like that but nothing like what this dude is doing... maybe not at such tight arc's and the like... maybe something similar with a bigger playing field? :)

So explain to me if the rotors create "lift" how does it hold itself upside down? Does it actually rotate the rotor shaft to change the angle of the blade?

The rotor can rotate the apposite way pushing the helicopter down when inverted the throttle is reverse I.e. all the way down neutral is in the middle so it creates lift by reversing the blade pitch

Im actually working on my inverted hover skills. I have 3 Aline T-rex (electric) I have only crashed one once now its got all aluminum and carbon fiber components and a custom painted fiber canopy . The best way to learn is threw a trainer set up for the PC so you don’t trash the real thing. It’s a lot of fun and it takes a lot of skill and concentration to fly one. The first crash happened because I had an itch on my nose LOL $40 later she is good as new.

Not a cheap hobby thats for sure....I had always wanted one as a kid and after looking thru some RC magazines I saw that a good Helo set up with a radio was thousands of dollars.

I fly 400 scale/size electric and end up having to spend 10 times longer on the sim then actual flight. Electric with out-runner motors are pretty tric. New battery technology has helped flight duration. So you can get into electric pretty economically. What really helps is the advance in gyros, witness by how quickly the tail snapped back. Long story short, I've spent more time repairing then flying:) You should see the big Jet Engine ones! There's a bunch of talented RC pilots out there though.

After having watched that, an idea came up.................an RC flying lawn mower!!!! :D

what's your favorite color?

Yeah the RC helicopter can change its pitch angle. As they would like to say it positive/negative pitch angle.
As for the real thing, whiteNSXs is correct in the sense its material limitation. Namely the gearbox, blade not so much but still very significant, depending on design and material. The likes of Lynx, Russian's 'Werewolf' helicopters can do positive 'G' loops and barrel roll. Need to maintain that 'G' factor. Some helicopter which can or dare to do this maneuvers, ending up changing their gearbox... OUCH!

That is EXACTLY what happened to me. Funny when you were a kid, you liked everything but had no money. Now you got some money and not too many things interest you. As you get older and "wiser", you get more primitive. I am just like the Neanderthal now only interested in food and sex! Hahaha, Burp!

Most of us I belive still need our fix and long for those things that we never got. I just recently bought a Master's Replica Light Saber and love this thing. I am trying to get one of each now that they are being discontiued because they lost there license to produce them from George Lucus.
