My 2001 inside mirror is not very clear. You can see a couple of circles and some areas of haze in the glass. Does anyone else have a less than perfect view? Will another honda mirror fit or will I need a NSX specific mirror?Jeff

Both my old 2000 and my current 2002 have this same issue. The circles are the adhesive on the back side that holds the mirror into place.

DOH! I was wondering what that was! I always thought the previous owner stuck some sort of suction cup thingy there and imprints from it were permanent.

Exactly the same haze/circles on my '98 int mirror, thought the cause to be same as you too, so it turns out to be a common problem?!

Actually, haven't heard from this problem before.
A replacement mirror might be quite expensive. On the other hand, it might be an idea to put a wide-view mirror over the existing one.
Used one for years and was very happy with it. Just haven't had the time yet to put a new one on the NSX again.

If you’re going to need a new mirror, consider getting an aftermarket unit with auto dimming and Home-Link. I believe they are around $100 -$250 depending on options. I'm thinking about getting one myself.

Does anyone have anything good/bad to say about aftermarket auto dimming mirrors?

Tom (socalx) has an aftermarket mirror like that... i.e. auto-dimming, homelink.

Here is some examples from just one of many manufacturers. (http://www.gentex.com/auto_plo_interior.html)

My 98 NSX mirror is also very bad. The mirrors with the auto dimming and Homelink however are not cheap. I'd like to see one in the $100-$150 price range. I think they are significantly more expensive. A while back someone here on the list offered a group buy on a mirror that was quite nice, but I didn't get in on it. Wish I would have.

I have the same problem on my 98. I don't want to consider another oem mirror because I've heard it could happen again. I've read others here have used something called a Broadway mirror.
