Installing cams "straight up" = no need for adj. cam gears?

I've got the inside track on a set of Comptech cams...so my question is, if I'm not going to adjust them (since I'm not going to pull out my engine in order to dyno tune on an engine dyno), would adjustable cam gears be necessary?

Loc, I think you only really need them when you change the distance from the cam center bore to the crank center, i.e., when you deck the block or use different thickness head gaskets. Still, any time you use a lobe profile different than stock, it makes sense to get the gears so that you can degree them in perfectly. Could be worth 10 hp or more just on that.
